Hello all, I have finally come to a point where I am ready to take the next step in power/performance with my Mach 1 and throw on a set of longtube headers as well as a 91/E85 tune. This is my first modern mustang and therefore my first time diving into aftermarket tunes. I've had the car for nearly 3 years and just passed 30k miles with little to no issues. Currently the car has a ford performance air filter, carbon trap delete, steeda x-pipe and steeda suspension. I still very much enjoy the car, I'm just looking to wake it up a bit more and need some tips/advice.

Currently these are the options/combo that I am leaning towards:
• Stainless Works/Stainless Power 1 7/8 catted long tube headers (factory connect)
• Wengerd Performance 2021+ Mach 1 NA 91+E85 Tune
• RTD3 Tuning Device (w/4 Credits)

I have several friends who run Stainless power on their boosted and NA gen2/gen3 coyotes and none of them have had any issues, so to me it seems like SW/SP is a good route to go. Tune wise, those same friends run either Lund or Palm Beach on their cars. However, from looking at the forms/groups it seems that Lund or Wengerd are the most preferred tunes for the Mach 1. I have heard a few comments about customer service issues with Lund which makes me a little cautious to go with them compared to Wengerd which I have yet to hear any complaints about. Not to mention I've heard they are also one of the best tuners for drivabilty. My reasoning for going with a 91+E85 tune is that 91 octane is what I currently run and I know that it is more readily available in my area as well as back home and in between compared to 93 octane. E85 is also pretty readily available, so having that as on option during more spirited driving would be nice. I don't necessarily care about hitting a certain whp number, rather I prefer my car make good power, maintain its reliability as much as possible and that I have a tuner that can get back to me in a reasonable amount of time if I have any issues or questions. I should also add that my Mach 1 is equipped with the 10r80, so improving the behavior of the transmission/shift pattern is something I am also really looking for. There is a potential that the car will see boost someday in the future in the form of a G3 ESS, but for now it will likely stay NA for a while.

Is there anything that I am missing or should also consider for this upgrade? Thanks in advance

GREAT combo. I ran prety much that combo on my 22 GT and it was amazing. I have yet to do the headers on my Mach 1 but I have the Wengerd 93 tune and Steeda filter and I love it... Stainless works is a great header, and not too expensive either. I ordered Stainless Works for my GT but they were on back order at the time and I switched to Texas Speed as they were in stock. But I know many people that run stainless works and they are great...
