Made and installed stiffened trans mount to balance out the stiffer motor mounts. The textured one is the side I taped up. The smooth side is the side I poured in the room temperature setting Devcon Liquid 80 urethane. Simple two part mix and let set, in a couple hours it is stiff enough to install, takes a few days to reach full hardness. This is a medium hard Urethane. Just clean and rough up all the surfaces that the Urethane will come in contact with.

So you could make a dropped trans mount like this fairly easily? Or is there a simpler solution for that?

Dropped? You want to lower the trans? Just shim the cross member down. Or you could make a mount. Not sure I'd trust that poured urethane to bond two pieces together if making a mount from scratch. Stiffening the mount doesn't compromise the original bonded rubber. You can buy trans mount blocks and design a new mount that would lower the trans. I lowered the engine 3/4" I don't think it will effect drive line angles in a negative way but I am not positive on that. When I lowered the engine and not the trans on the s197 it improved the drive line angle. Eventually I will probably put in an aluminum driveshaft, I might also change transmission to one with gear ratios better suited to a SC car. I'll investigate drive line angles then or if I have any vibration issues from the changes I already made.

Thanks, I thought that might be the way. My concern is with reducing amount of contact of bolted surfaces, the shims would have to be better (wider) than just some washer type spacers to retain strength.

Car is almost perfectly tuned now thanks to Lund Racing. It is fast very fast but what will really blow some minds is how cool the intake air temperatures run. I mean the real inside the intake manifold temperature not the air temperature in the front of the throttle body. After running for over an hour and doing data logs including multiple full throttle runs the intercooler water was cold you could stick your finger in the tank and the water was cool. The intake manifold was cooler than the SC. We are talking 13 to 16 degrees above ambient in both traffic and under full boost of 10 pounds.

Finally finished the engine compartment with home made strut tower brace and repaired K brace. Ready for tune.

Well that’s it I give up… Thought my shyt was going okay… Just spent the last hour reading thru everything here very nice work. Did you have to lower the engine to fit the SC in there? Or was the ¾” drop just for the heck of it? Love the custom tower brace.

Motor was lowered to clear the STB. Otherwise it can be run at stock height.

The most amazing thing about this combo is that it's with the most inefficient/hot blower out there (stock GT500/M122) and it has IAT's a LOT lower than anything else available. A LOT lower! Nothing else is even close. 550hp with this combo is more HP than 550hp with any other combo. Just think what happens when a top quality head unit is used on this setup (which can be done). The cooler running combo will always make more power more of the time.

This, the M122 blower is a fine heat generator. This thread has me thinking.....

Worst Supercharger for heat production runs cooler than the best Supercharger for heat production. Heat is a inevitable, heat is created when air is compressed. But given the right environment that heat can be controlled. The outside air temperature was right around 70 degrees.

Makes me want to SC The Menace right now. But that’s not in the cards yet. Maybe in a year... You know this already but I will say it anyway. You do some fine work there. I love the blue rocker and chin splitter too. Do you have any rear shots? I was thinking about some color on mine too.

So why did you go with that particular supercharger, knowing its inefficiency in this regard? Was it the challenge of controlling the (heat) beast? Price or fitment or its character throughout the load range?

Absolutely right and it is available dirt cheap. You can get Eaton take offs for as little as $400 that is an OEM quality supercharger for less way less than a rebuild on any other SC. Now just think how much power you will have ALL the time with any SC not just when the weather is cool.
