The spoiler looks awesome Alex. Nice talking with ya on the phone today. Look forward to coming out and seeing it and also what else you guys are doing. Talk soon.
Insulate the airbox from engine compartment heat, vent the hood for more air flow through the radiator and heat exchanger. Eventually I'll lower it a little. I already put a diffuser on the back just no pictures yet.

Absolutely right and it is available dirt cheap. You can get Eaton take offs for as little as $400 that is an OEM quality supercharger for less way less than a rebuild on any other SC. Now just think how much power you will have ALL the time with any SC not just when the weather is cool.
Great stuff and good info as always Alex.
Still, with the low cost of the Eaton 99%+ of S550 owners that want a low cost SC will not (or cannot) go through much of the custom fab work* you did like the manifold to make the M122 functional on top of the 15' Coyote.
So for those that don't want to go down the Whipple/Roush/Procharger path what are your suggestions for any of us pursuing something similar to what you did? (just the SC related stuff).
Seems like anytime a new SC kit is marketed it competes with the fore mentioned SC's in price more than in function.

*I wish I had the available resources to make this happen as I now have the time, would do it starting tomorrow but I don't and this is where expense issues can crop up.

When DOB releases the GT550 kit there won't be any custom fab work. Well not anymore than is required for any other kit maybe less. My contention is 550rwhp is the same no matter which blower you use. If you have to have more than that things get really expensive and if you can afford it I am enamored with the front entry 2.9 Whipple. For me the packaging, and fun of a positive displacement blower just eliminates all the others from consideration.

If I had your skill set I may have done just what you have done, you sir are a genius.

I couldn't agree more with your statement on the Whipple.

I look forward to what's next on your build [emoji41]
Got my popcorn all ready, let us have it.

Right- 500-550hp would be it for me, that "I have more hp than you" bragging was never for me anyways. The Whipple would be me my choice if I wanted to drop 6K+ on a SC but now that I'm retired I can't make up for such big expenses as easily as when I was working.

Great build man. This is definitely something I'd be interested in later down the road. As people are always tossing their factory blowers fairly cheap. These car's don't really need much to make decent power. Again, great build man!

I only get a 5 degree rise in air temperature from ambient to the temp sensor in the MAF but any rise is a rise you don't want. So what can I do to insulate the air box from under hood temperature? We have done the testing and this REI tunnel insulation is far and away the best stuff out there.

I like it. Had it wet sanded and buffed out this morning looks better and if you look the bumpers match the spoiler color wise better than the metal parts. the angle make a huge difference maybe because of reflections.

Car is looking amazing Alex, this is such a badass build.
Keep up the great work, and thanks for allowing us to be a part of it!

Installed BMR springs. Looks great rides great. Maybe a little bit firmer hard to tell but certainly not an issue. Remember my splitter is 1.5" lower than stock so the 1.25" lower with the BMR springs really brings the front end down. Still didn't hit anything and did go up and down some driveways. My hoist arms still fit under the lift pads.
