So tell me what changed in natural gas delivery that such a hike is justifiable?
75% of the price hikes are due to policies from governments. 15% is from Ukraine 10% is the oil companies getting back money lost on killed pipelines.

Is Toluene a viable alternative for boosting octane?
If I put in 1.5 gal of toluene (rated at 114 octane) to 14 gal of 91. (14 * 91) + (1.5 * 114) / 15.5 = 93.2 Octane?
I don't think the math is quite right since octane boosters are not straight 1 to 1.

Sure it's a shock to everyone's wallets ... But Big Corporations don't want to increase salaries for their workers who are in the trenches making the Corp. go round and round, while the top Execs get their $1M or 6-figure bonus checks . . . more for less, until there's a break point.

Most of what we are seeing in price hikes is just greed. Nothing has drastically changed as far as production, pipelines, delivery... Many Big Corps aside from the Fuelers/Oilers as in "retail" are also sitting on stockpiles of cash and making record profits - in some instances there probably isn't even a denomination name to the amount of cash that's being stock piled by both the Govt/Big Corps.

There just isn't any justification for fuel/oil hikes - not just for the automobile, but now there's talks that anyone who has natural gas for their homes will see as high as a 30% increase in some areas of the country... So tell me what changed in natural gas delivery that such a hike is justifiable?
Do you think that big corp and govt are in on the increase across the board together? Maybe some sort of closed door deal..scratch my back ill scratch yours?

It's almost as if that's the entire problem with lobbyists and things like Citizens United... Weird how letting big companies have more influence, due to having more money, on our politicians turned out to make an already bad issue worse huh?

My company just gave all employees (around 20 of us) a $250.00 Exxon/Mobile gas card!
I've been using BP 93 religiously but will try Exxon's hi test/super or whatever they call it...believe its blended between 91 - 93 depending where its offered. That should last for a few tanks!

As far as a shortage goes is just a shortage for worker bees. Your Guberment knows there is war coming and they are stockpiling the sh*t out of oil. Do your own homework.

Ford has always indicated that power ratings were based on premium fuel. This is not “jacking up” the octane, just being truthful as to what is needed to extract maximum performance. Using 87 is fine but it is the minimum recommended.

From the owners manual.

I've tried 87 for a few tanks awhile back. Fuel economy seemed to drop more than i thought it would so it didn't even seem worth it. Didn't feel a difference just daily driving though. Went back to 93 until I got an E85 flex fuel tune.

Ive been impressed with this auto stang. Even after tune, when I fill up weekly its about 290 to empty. Thats mixed driving, but Id say 60% of it is Hwy and Interstate. 40% of the afternoon is the same 4 lane, but stop and go. The 2019 6 speed was more city, and me giving it hell, so it was like 215 to empty every time I filled up lol.

Same here, I use BP (their credit card gives an additional $0.15/gallon off every fill up too). Interesting they’re not on the Top Tier website however they sent out a press release in 2013 stating they were joining the Top Tier program…
