8-4-1 Headers (Video)

I was told it would be noticeably louder than OEM with the valves closed, and way louder when opened. Based on that clip, it just sounds muffled and lackluster at best.

I think it sounds like a really pissed off 4 banger, if I'm being honest. Which isn't even in the same universe as a '350. I'll pray for you in the mean time about the valves. That's weird.

Awful lot of time, complexity, and money for a sound that is subjectively questionable? I was expecting something more like the howl of the original GT40 bundle of snakes headers or even the old nascar engines with their crossover headers. More importantly, I'd like to see SAE corrected torque curve comparisons between stock manifolds vs conventional headers vs 8-4-1 .

Sounds like and RS3 with downpipe and exhaust. I wouldnt know that was a GT350 hearing that without seeing it

This was my first thought. I can hear the undertone of the Voodoo, but yeah it's really poppy/snappy. Like a trumpet.

Yeah if the sound doesn’t change this sounds like crap for the price point. The chewbacca tone of the 350 is unique and unreplicated. Opinions will be opinions but you’d be way better off installing your Ultimate headers with a Corsa X. Pure perfection to me is OEM headers with fabspeed high flow cats to Corsa X and factory mufflers. Unfortunate fabspeeds cost is astronomical and no other high flow cat options

Personally, I think that sounds awful.

Again, this is what equal length headers should sound like on a 350.

Jamal Hameedi's 350R with equal length headers. I'm guessing these were made in house with Ford
