I've got to say, I'm hugely disappointed with Lund - Even though the brand new PBH trans and brand new Circle D converter do EXACYLY the same thing on the 1-2 shift as it did with the OEM trans and 1 year old Circle D converter, they still want to blame the transmission. I can't fathom how they rationalize that...

I've asked twice now to escalate and talk to management/owner, and they keep ignoring me. That's no way to run a business.

Thats frustrating. It CLEARLY is an issue with their whipple base file because when i had the same issue almost 2 years ago now, i posted about it on the FB groups and i had 2 or 3 guys message me telling me they had the same issue and I needed to ask them to back down the shifts on the 1-2.

Did you ever get your transmission issue fixed?
Not really.

Lund lowered the 1-2 shift command to 5,000rpms (despite the fact I told them something in the 6,000rpm range was what I wanted), and now it shifts at 6,600rpms. They made another change and it still shifts at 6,600rpms. I sent them that data log and I now have rev 9 of the tune but haven't run it at the track.

Given the fact the NHRA has changed up tech, I'll likely never run the pump gas tune at the track again, so the tune is what it is. Given I can now tech to a 9.0 and get my NHRA Street Legal license, I'll only be running the race gas tune at 15psi when I go to the track, which should go high 9's. I told Lund I wanted them to update the race gas tune with the shift changes so they sent it to me, but I haven't had the opportunity to get back out to the track.

I also talked to PBD and they feel they'd have no problem getting me a fully functional tune, so if Lund's race tune is as bad as their pump gas tune, I'll just spend the $1k and have PBD create a race gas tune for me.

As for the PBH transmission, it didn't shift/drive great in the beginning, but now that's its been in there a while it shifts great.

As for the Circle D converter, the 258mm unit they told me to buy after looking at the initial data logs simply doesn't suit the car (too tight) as I lost a tenth on the 60ft, and 2mph and 2-3 tenths on the big end. They've reworked the original 245mm converter for free and it's going back in the car soon.

Did you ever end up finding out the issue? I’m having a similar problem, 2016 5.0 Paxton superchargered, making 770, E85, stock 6R80, Lund tuned, I changed the valve body and it didn’t help fixing it

Lemme guess, Lund is telling you it's an equipment issue?

Shocking....Wengerd. Look him up. Full disclosure, I am NOT tuned by him. He doesn't know me from Adam. You won't be disappointed.
