I recently completed my opg and whipple install together and fired the car up for the first time last night.

Let's just say it didn't go well. The car seemed to have some difficulty starting and then it shot up to idle at around 2000-2500 RPM's. In addition the manifolds got red hot after a minute or two.

I shut it down and checked codes and all i got was p0507 idle higher then expected. I looked everything over and cant see anything wrong with the install.

I'm assuming it's a vacuum leak somewhere causing a lean condition and i checked over everything and nothing was obvious. Should i continue assuming it's a leak or could it be due to the timing being off although no related codes for that were thrown?

Would a re-flash maybe help? I also haven't done a crank relearn yet but won't be able to until I get this situation figured out.

Appreciate anyone's advice I really want to get this figured out.

I don't think a vacuum leak would cause the exhaust manifold to glow red at idle.Make sure your injectors and wire connection are all good.I would pm whipple because some guys were talking about tb issues on some of the kits.

I had the same error. Ended up getting another 132mm tb from whipple but you may be able to turn your magnet.
