Nice! What's the details on your build @bauern???

Not bad at all.

This is a great option for those wanting closer to 1200 or better. The closed deck design is going t be STOUT.
I think so too @gimmie11s! I am in the middle of switching my car over from a Gen3 Whipple setup, to a Hellion sleeper kit and am looking to make around 1,100 or so with it..

I see a few people have mentioned the Mahle/Voodoo piston setup. Does anybody know what wrist pin the kit comes with??? Looked around and didn't see any information on them...

very nice. 1100 will be easy with the hellion.

I made 913 whp on 13 psi with my TT setup until a piston let go.

You will need to run the 5.2 crank to run that piston.

The pistons will work fine with a boss crank .
You will just lose a little bit of compression .
I had a long block built by BPS earlier this year with those pistons/boss crank and Gen I voodoo

I am also building a Gen2 voodoo block with the same combo for my 18 .
You have to use specific Manley rods that are tapered/smaller pin bore with the voodoo pistons.

You are right, the voodoo pistons will work with boss crank. Just be in the hole a little bit. Also as u mentioned, voodoo specific rod needed with smaller wrist pin. .827 vs .866

Just a short block for now. J&E 2018+ piston, K1 rods.
The crank is pre-balance for Predator reciprocating parts, hence the heavy metal inserts. It was less than $100 more than the m6303m52 crank so hopefully the balancing cost will be less than the M- crank.

Re Boss crank and Predator Block: Nothing special about the Boss crank vs the std. Coyote crank. They are equal. The Boss is just balanced for the Boss reciprocating parts. You'll be balancing anyway when you use your parts combo. Also, if you stay with a 3.700" Coyote piston you'll keep your quench and C.R. The piston C.H. will make up for the shorter stroke of the Coyote/Boss crank.

Great information guys! @80FoxCoupe and I have been discussing different build scenarios for a few weeks now. My whole thing with the Predator crank is, I feel that it is probably a much more robust piece compared to production coyote/BOSS cranks. I'm betting Ford went through a boatload of testing on its components that make up the Predator to live at its claimed horsepower...

Can't deny what kind of power folks have made on a boss crank tho!

I just pulled the trigger on some drop in Mahle forged pistons for the Gen 3 and the Manley H Tuff rods rated at 1200+ HP.

Sport compact warehouse has 10% off the whole site. Pistons were $668 and rods $750! No tax and free shipping.

Block delivers Wednesday... im stoked to get my build going.

Hey man . Did you ever get your pistons .
They were not in stock when I ordered and they have been “processing “ since 12/3.
