Does anybody have a picture of the plug in the trunk I am supposed to unplug?

Thank you for this! I have been curious to do the same on my 2020 F350 PSD. I recently had an interesting experience where the dealer service manager was able to tell me a few accurate things about my truck when it was in my possession not on the dealer property... He told me he got the info on his computer from the Ford system tied to the Ford Connect infrastructure in the cloud.. I immediately disabled all the Ford Connect and Wifi options in settings but I want to make it impossible for my truck to phone home.

Is fuse #10 labeled specifically as telematics? I am going to research the same on for my PSD.
Connected vehicle diagnostics

Very useful as they can save time, the dealer knows the fault before you get to the garage. Helped my son out with his Focus when the headlight had an intermittent problem.

Connected Nav, remote services, vehicle location and tracking, remote locking, vehicle pre-conditioning etc etc

Don't let paranoia defeat usefulness.

Having said all of that we have proper privacy laws in Europe.

I lean more in your direction but it's a dead giveaway of insecurity to insult someone for different values. 🙄

People with that thought process is why we currently have no privacy. https://www.theblaze.com/lifestyle/...g-my-data-and-uncovered-an-even-bigger-threat
Actually, it's people who buy these products and continue to support the companies doing this that led us to here. The solution isn't to pull a plug, it's to let products with these features stagnate on the lot unsold.

I see from your profile pic you are supporting these choices just fine, like the rest of us here with modern cars.

In cars it should have started and ended with OnStar 30 years ago if we the people were so upset about it.

To your point, I don’t plan on buying any new cars, between my now modemless 2018 F150 and my modemless GT500, and my 65 Fastback, I’m set.
