New delight with my Steeda tune :yesterday I did 757 mile drive on 2-1/2 tanks of 93 for 27.5 mpg mostly on cruise control at the upper range of "not drawing undue attention to the car" speeds. Second tank was 28.2 mpg! Best I'd done on long drives at those speeds with stock tune was 26 mpg.

Im leaning towards the steeda tune. Can you use any old SCT tuner for there tune? of does it have to be the specific mach 1 sct tuner??

As long as it's not married to the previous vehicle. That's the problem with SCT devices, once you use it to tune a car, it's now married to that car and you can't use it on another car except to read and clear codes.

I highly recommend getting some feedback from someone else that has a Steeda 10-speed tune.
Some of these tuners are very aggressive with their sport mode.
Livernois would chirp the tires and jerk me around bad even at part throttle because they think that’s what people buying a tune want:
I asked them to send me a revised softer shifting tune which they actually already had. This helped a lot but still would jerk when upshifting sometimes.
In the end that’s why I went to Wengerd.
Just do your homework as you will be out that money if you don’t like it.
And nothing against Steeda at all, I had their tune on my 15gt manual and have spent thousands in suspension upgrades over the years.

As far as I know, HP tuners is the only one that allows you to use it on multiple vehicles at the same time. You just have to buy the credits for each vehicle. Right now I have my mustang tuned by Wengerd, and my explorer ST by ZFG racing, and... you can do it with an app on your phone.

damnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn. too late, sadly.
Can i use any SCT X4 tuner?
That what I used. Had to pay SCT to unlock for a different car. Still cheaper than a whole new tuner.

I concur about the HP Tuners RTD device. I have my tune on mine (Wengerd) and my friend bought credits from Wengerd and used my RTD to load theirs as well. As long as you buy the credits, the device is good to go..

And I LOVE my Wengerd tune...

And if you use the TDN app on your phone, you don't have to drag your laptop out to the car. You just have to make sure that when you purchase the tune, you let them know you will using the TDN app vs the PC

But if you have multiple vehicles tuned at the same time, you will need a tuner for each vehicle. That's fine if you only have 1 car tuned. But for 2 or more an HP device is cheaper in the long run.

Exactly :). However I did have trouble reading mine the first time (initial read) :( so I had to use my PC to read the file and email Wengerd. Once that was done, it has worked flawlessly ever since...
