Hey guys,

I have a 2023 MACH 1 w 10spd and about 1200 miles on it and thinking about getting it tuned, add a little ooompphhhhh to it. I def don't want to supercharge the car as i lived that lifestyle for 3 years w my old 2021 Roush car. I'm happy w an N/A car and not burning cats lol Thank you.
Who is the flavor of the year via tuner w experience tuning MACH 1's???

Thanks, Anthony

I have a 21 Auto Mach 1 and I second that, Wengerd tune is top notch!
I had a Livernois Flex tune before that and even though it was cheaper, ran strong, the 10-speed tune wasn't so good.
Running E85 will be your most noticeable power gain. I get E70 around here and thats enough to make a noticeable kick in the HP across the entire RPM range.

Maybe I am the only one that thinks this but I don't think anyone should tune a Mach 1. Its already near perfection as is. Sure, tune a base GT or performance pack all day long but I would never mess with a special version of a car.

I hope others can help you OP, I'm sure you will have fun. Above is just my $0.02.

Wengerd for sure. I got Long Tubes, JLT intake with Wengerd tune on mine and made a huge difference. Just rode with a friend today 22 Mach 1 Handling pack. He did the exact same thing to his. Wengerd tune, Headers. Both 10R80 cars. Immense difference.... Highly recommended..

It doesn’t hurt the car to tune it. You can always flash it back to stock.
Why wouldn’t you want the full potential of your Mach 1.
E85 makes the engine run cooler and cleaner actually.

I did the Steeda M1 tune with the X4 tuner and the difference was noticeable immediately. I love it. No issue with passing my Massachusetts inspection. And as ChitownStang mentions, I can put it back to stock any time I want or need to.

I understand what your saying, I've been this way regarding lots of suspension mods.. There suspension (Mach 1) is amazing. Engine & power -> After having a 2021 Roush car w 750hp the Mach is def kinda slow. I def dont want to supercharge this car, but tuning it and having the ability to flash it back to stock works for me.

Thanks chitown for the reply!!!! I have to 10 spd also, def not doing E85. I would be running 93 octane. Ive also had the Livernois tune on my old 2016 fusion and it was amazing on that 4 banger turbo. Wengerd is on our forum, correct?

Thanks skinny!!!! I'm leaving everything else stock. I upgraded to Blue GT500 filter, ripped out the air inlet blockage lol. I just want the engine and trans to be peppier. I have this wierd dead spot, where the engine like bogs down and then revs up fast. I think it may be heat related, not sure though.. The GT350 air set up isnt impressive to me, it looks pretty but def allows hot air into intake.. On my Roush, that was sealed inside a box and made a huge diff w iat temps.

Yes, 10 speed and 93. I had put Performance Pack II on my 2015 GT and the difference surprised me (knowing now, it pretty much brought the engine up to M1 performance), so I wasn't expecting a big change for the M1. The improvement with the Steeda tune was pleasantly surprising! Punch it just a little and it grabs enough to get a touch of torque steer! Love it!

Definitely. I went aftermarket intake and headers, etc. The Mach 1 still has factory intake under the hood. Definitely will wake the car up, and the trans tune is amazing. My trans was very wonky before the tune, it is MUCH better now, especially in Drive. Shifts smoother and doesn't try to got to 10th gear at 25MPH. Sport is even sportier, overall a great experience...

When you go to Wengerd's website to order, you enter all the mods you have (or lack thereof) and he will write you a file accordingly. Then once its uploaded, he will have you send a couple of log files to make sure all the parameters are spot on. He hit mine on the very first try, no revisions needed. Definitely made the car drive different, in a good way...
