UGH......THANKS!!
Here's another nope to ensure your misery 😂

If it helps, you just need to unbolt the brace, not actually remove it. Loosen one side, then buzz off the nuts on the other and just lift it up to remove the cover.

Rumor has it you lose about 40 horsepower by removing that plastic piece from the engine bay...
You've been warned!!! LOL
Myth busters did an episode on this. Any hp loss was negligible due to weight reduction of removing the plastic piece.

(Also it is super ugly and hides one of the most vénérable lumps in history.)

I couldn’t agree more. I never liked the look of that thing but figured it must be there to dampen tics and other engine noises. At any rate, I removed mine.

No problem.......removed Driver's side nuts on strut tower brace.....loosened the other side and braced the DS up about 8" with a piece of wood.....EASY-PEASY but retrieving a dropped socket extension from the skid plate made the job take a bit LONGER!! 😡 😡

I removed mine as well, but now it's slower AND the hood flutters. I wondered if it was all related. :)

Ford stopped putting them on the Ecoboost around 2021. Somebody probably decided it saved money with zero impact.
