Anyone in the DC area have a good PPF/tint person they could recommend?
Was thinking before I pick up my car from Ourisman (Manassas) I could get that done before the drive home to NC.

If you wanted to apply trach guard for the road trip, and want a good service. Buff Masters Window Tinting here in Wilmington, did my Mach and the Jeep. I know its a stretch for you though.

I have a guy I like here in Raleigh. It was just so I'm not naked on the ride home. ;)
Especially the rear flanks getting blasted by the Cup 2s.
I might look into a roll of the track armor.

I just moved out of Raleigh. Not sure if you know Artie in Holly Springs, but he did my '22 GT. I've used him for my Subaru as well and highly recommend him for tinting on anything. Not sure on the PPF though. If you find someone in the area, I'm interested since I have to go back to Raleigh to pick up my Mach 1 whenever it shows up.

Checked again earlier with FP and for the first post weekend check in a while, the build date did not change and is still showing as Sept 12. I know a lot can change in short time, so not trying to get overly excited, but I am happy that it seems to be stabilizing somewhat and I can actually look forward to getting closer to that date!

TintFX in Vienna is good for tint...they've done 3 of my cars now. small shop but quick/solid work. discount for cash

Ourisman has a guy they use out of Woodbridge but I have no personal knowledge.

I had PPF done by an outfit right off us50 and us29 in Fairfax. And there are a couple guys up in Herndon that do PPF for 6 figure cars.

For tint the local gang of m6g use my workshop neighbor a mile away from Red Roof Inn at business 234 and i66. He doesn't do PPF per se, but if you hand him a roll of stuff he'll put it on. Does a good job. He tints all kinds of vehicles including some that are very expensive.

I was about to order a couple rolls of 18 and 6 inch wide rolls of xpel's heavy duty

My Blend date is tomorrow (8/31).
Unless there's some crazy shipping issues, I'm thinking mid to late September?
I know from what others have posted, people are still waiting for cars built months ago.

I've also got a Jeep Wrangler coming in about the same time, but that's in Nashville.
For that, we plan to fly out, visit some family there, then stop in Asheville on the way back home.

For the Mach, I'm not sure how I'll do it.
It's not as epic a trip as @traxiii back to California, but trying to do something fun.
Could drive it to upstate NY to visit some family, but sticking to the back roads is going to stretch a 5 hour trip into 7 or more.
Then all the way back to NC from NY on back roads will take a bit.
Still got to figure it out.

Still no word from Ford yet on scheduling for next week. For those of us who are "Unscheduled" the wait continues. Here's what's on the Blue Oval Forum:

• Ford has still not released the Production Week Scheduling Information for the week of August 29th. This is highly unusual as the information is always available by late Friday afternoons.
  • Either someone at Ford dropped the ball by not posting at least the initial scheduling information or Ford is just running very late in configuring the scheduling mix and plant schedules as multiple vehicle lines are at or close to "Balance Out" scheduling.
  • The scheduling information will be posted as soon as it's available from Ford.

I checked the Blue Oval Forums yesterday and this morning. Still nothing has been posted regarding scheduling this week. As far as I know Granger still has 8 allocations left for August. Let's hope some more scheduling happens this Thursday.
