We estimate up to 10 days to try to slow down your enthusiasm. 😂

Generally we'll prep the car within 24-48 hours, we want finance to be able to call (which can take up to a week between playing phone tag with some customers) and we need to be able to inspect for damage and disclose, get the repair submitted and completed under warranty if necessary.

The last thing we want is for someone to book a flight the next day and we won't be prepared because there's damage, they don't have the financing arranged or certified check to release the vehicle, etc.

How much do you think it costs to have the shaker installed vs the GT500 hood, assuming you have decals cut to fit etc? I know the hood and shaker each cost like $1,500ish last I checked, but no idea what installation would run.

I like the look of both but I'd probably also vote GT500 hood—it just fits the lines of the car better. Although admittedly I also love a good shaker...
If I was going to make a hood change on my 22 I would go with the GT500 hood. I do like that hood. The shaker just looks a bit off to me on the 2021-2022's. I felt the same way when it was brought back on the 2003-2004's as well.

That would be great. Now, just gotta wait another month to find out if we get selected. Ughh! I'll send a note over to Ashleigh to see where I'm at in line.

Ashleigh replied back and I'm 7th in line.
I sent an email this morning to try and get some info from Granger since I had not heard anything from them at all since March 1st. Ashleigh replied about an hour later.
She said that I am now Priority 10 and 2nd in line. I'm not feeling too confident at this point to be honest. I'm just expecting the worst and hoping for the best.

Sounds like you are in pretty good shape for production in October. 🤞🤞🤞

I call BS!!!
No where on the planet is the delivery inspection and process that long.
about a day and 1/2 from delivery to my grubby little hands.
Take it easy. The process doesnt take that long but it may take them time to get to your car. They have other customers. Plus classic move of setting expectations they can beat.

Granger is selling cars below invoice with no hidden fees in a time when most are adding crazy markups. They're really not making anything unless you're financing with them or buying ESP-oh wait they sell that at $50 above cost. They also communicate better than most dealers. I found a good deal and quality dealership in a neighboring state, otherwise they would be my go to dealer.

I hate to ask, but did you happen to see an Eruption Green Mach 1 on the lot? 😁

From what I've gathered, I get the sense Chapman is kind of overwhelmed with the amount of work they have and are trying to catch up. I still haven't heard from them on whether my car is even on the lot. Ford's tracker doesn't even load for my VIN anymore because it says it's delivered, lol.
I didn't see an EG Mach 1, but it could be in the back of the lot. Wish I did as I would've liked to see one in person. They had an EG GT though.

I had to wait a couple of weeks to make an appointment. Picked the car up 3 weeks after delivery.

How long did it take for them to do prep etc. Mine came in at Granger on the 20th and I’m told it will be 1.5 weeks before it’s ready for me to pick it up. 🤷🏻‍♂️
I picked mine up 3 weeks after delivery, took about two weeks just to make an appointment.

Long story short I finally got my car. Original order was either last day of October 2021 or the 1st. I think I originally got one of the first 100 or so off the line so I lost out on that. Ford and chap pointing at each other. Resulted in an additional 6 month wait, chassis number now is 2300s. I really don't see how Ford produces over 3000 of these. For sure there will be cancellations for those debating about waiting.

As for the overall Chapman experience I'd say 8/10. The deal is good, which honestly helps them a lot otherwise it would be 6/10. Very good communication, yet comes off as possibly understaffed? Or disingenuous (conspiracy theory that the lackluster attention leads to more retail cancels and resale)? How many cars do you sell (especially under COVID) to not notice the discrepancy between what was ordered by a customer and what Ford plans to build. The customer has no access to this and Ford chat always referred me to contact the dealer. So it's either bug them all the time or trust that the dealer is tracking everything (unlikely). Took about 2 weeks from when the car arrived to actually being able to come in for it. Reason being that they have a lot of cars and everything is in order. Paperwork was fine, will be asked the extra standard stuff, was not annoyingly pushy. Several mach 1s just sitting on the lot, at least one in the showroom. The wait doesn't end when the car gets there lol.

Would I use them again? That depends on if I buy a Ford product again. I have no interest in anything they offer than the mustang. I cross shopped this with a Tesla and lucid (odd yeah I know). People drag Ford's build quality including the mustang, but everything feels solid. It's incredible what Tesla allows to leave the factory. In my search was just normal to have broken vehicles available for sale inside the showroom.

By the time I am in the market for another one I'm not even sure what the dealership role will be regarding sales. For other products sometimes no better deal exists than that of the OEM sometimes however the distributors have a better deal than the OEM.

I actually drive drove around the lot, no green M1 in sight. However the lot extends further to an area I didn't drive through.

I finally got contacted by Chapman tonight regarding payment etc. Just waiting on the final info so I can give a down payment and then hopefully get an appointment scheduled. Just another 2-3 weeks to go and it will hopefully be mine 🤞

Thank both you and @JSracing for looking. They probably had it in a back lot somewhere or are starting to prep it — they just notified me tonight that it was in. I asked for pictures along with the paperwork so i will post them if they share!

Sounds like you'll be in their next allocation. You ordered 3 months after me, and if you get an Oct. build, you'll be right in line, wait time wise with mine, Relax, good luck!

I would agree with your Chapman experience. Granger seems better but overall with Chapman not bad considering other dealers I've dealt with. They never tried to push anything on me. They did seem understaffed as they only had one "signer" for both the Dodge and Ford showrooms which is why I had to wait 1.5 hours.
I asked about price protection a few times and the best response I was given was that they used to honor it but Ford wasn't reimbursing them. So they were out a lot of money. Now they don't offer it and supposedly don't even submit the claim to Ford for it. It's still a good deal even without the price protection. I couldn't go buy one anywhere for what I paid not even a leftover '21 at MSRP.

Can I stuff 4 M1 Sport Cup 2s into a M1? Wanting to switch them out at the dealer for a long trip home.

Dont make try to ask in the reg s550 forum. Please. :)

As long as you don’t have a passenger I managed 4 wheels complete with tyres in a GT
