That's my understanding: it's between the dealer and Ford. I'd like to think most dealers are familiar with the process, but I also realize (see example above) there are dealers who attempt a slight of hand or other means to increase their margin.Thanks man! I'm going to call Ford Marketing on Monday and see if they can handle this with the dealer. This is not leg-work the customer should have to be doing. Looks like the dealer claims the difference and gets a check from Ford, the customer should not be involved.
