So how far out will they schedule the build date
Sponsored
They usually issue a VIN and window sticker with the blend date anywhere from 2-3 weeks to a few days before the build happens. Regardless, someone should’ve heard something by now.So how far out will they schedule the build date
It is Thursday. I am hoping we will see a few today. Flatrock opens next week, right?I’m betting we might have a couple, but I suspect we’ll start getting VIN’s and build dates next week.
Yes Flat Rock opens next week... wasn't sure if they would schedule today or not, but I hope so. I've got an October order that I'd love to see scheduled. It is Thursday. I am hoping we will see a few today. Flatrock opens next week, right?
This seems to become common practice now. I literally heard a radio commercial in Tampa for a Ford dealer giving customers options to avoid paying high markups, order your car and pay MSRP. "Most cars arrive in 6-8 weeks" LOL ya right. Point though is that its seemingly common now if you want a car and avoid paying crazy markupsAs a side note I'm seeing a lot of dealers wanting cars that are telling customers give us your information, no deposit no obligation and we'll place an order for you. One in particular was offering to place up to 3 orders per customer. It's a win-win for the dealer another car ordered and if the customer cancels they have a car they can mark up when it arrives. Some of you will probably not like me, but I did place a second Mach 1 order with this dealer in case my local dealer plays games when my original car shows up.

I agree, I just thought the zero deposit and no obligation and 3 orders a customer is a bit over the top. I could really see them placing a bunch of inventory orders as customer orders. But everyone is probably doing it. Hopefully my October order gets scheduled soon. This seems to become common practice now. Word from people who know, say that Ford really, really frowns upon this practice. Who the heck knows if they are doing anything about it.I agree, I just thought the zero deposit and no obligation and 3 orders a customer is a bit over the top. So far the only HP M1s with build dates are all scheduled for April. Of the two I've heard about, one was 4/9 and the other 4/26. Sounds to me like most HP cars will be built after April.I’m betting we might have a couple, but I suspect we’ll start getting VIN’s and build dates next week.
These are confirmed hp cars with emails confirmed? Haven’t seen anyone post a screenshot of a hp build emailSo far the only HP M1s with build dates are all scheduled for April. Of the two I've heard about, one was 4/9 and the other 4/26. Sounds to me like most HP cars will be built after April.
Seeing this makes me wonder when those of us with non-HP cars will get a build dateSo far the only HP M1s with build dates are all scheduled for April. Of the two I've heard about, one was 4/9 and the other 4/26. Sounds to me like most HP cars will be built after April.
Now that a lot of older HP orders are no longer material hold, my guess is the older HP orders will be ahead of the newer non-HP orders....at least I hope so because of my situation.Seeing this makes me wonder when those of us with non-HP cars will get a build date![]()
Then again if there is a material constraint due to HP parts (wheel supplier or spoiler supplier out of stock) that would go out the window.I feel like that would be most fair, but I suppose we will find out once Flat Rock reopens – Ford's building system and tracker are so wonky and unreliable, lol.Now that a lot of older HP orders are no longer material hold, my guess is the older HP orders will be ahead of the newer non-HP orders....at least I hope so because of my situation. Then again if there is a material constraint due to HP parts (wheel supplier or spoiler supplier out of stock) that would go out the window.
