That’s a good point. I did watch the kid on YouTube talking about it. Thing though is mine doesn’t have the CFTP or the painted stripes. It does have the tech and handling package. Maybe waiting on parts 🤷‍♂️
I’m in the same situation with the same options. My guess is missing parts.

What has been the time from built to delivered for ones that have had their GT500 delivered?
About 2 weeks to the Mesquite, TX, rail yard where is sat for a month for a never defined “hold”.
You should have a rail car number to track by now.

What's your spec? I've heard anything with carbon fiber is slower to produce because of shortages. That fancy dash you may have opted for could be your bane. 😉

Haha you’re probably right. I had the base with HE, handling, tech and CF IP. 😁

@Houston Kid @adaryanani check out this timeline. It turned out that it was delivered early. June 12th it was in the guys garage. Base, Code Orange, vinyl stripes, not sure about hp or cf dash. Ohio though. The midwest guys get stuff quick.

They are definitely waiting on some component of the handling package, as they have pushed mine and several others bike, while pulling cars ahead that don't have the package. If they aren't using the parts on cftp's then it's safe to assume it's the Gurney flap. In your case it may be a shipping issue getting the car over into Canada.

No 500 for me. Ford isn't allowing my dealer to order the CFTP. All that BS about Ford cracking down on ADM's was just that...BS. Ford has a customer that wants to order a car from an upstanding dealer (with a confirmed allocation) that is selling at MSRP and they won't let us. And yet, there are dealer orders sitting on lots at significant mark ups. Makes sense.

I've been watching the used market for GT350R's on Bring a Trailer to see what mine is worth (Gen 2 R with 2900 miles). HE R models are consistently bringing nearly $100K over MSrp. It's insane. Low mile R's that haven't been messed with are bringing strong numbers as well. I bought mine slightly used in 2018 and am pretty sure I could make at least $20K on it if I wanted to sell.

What happened with the 2020 350 HE cars?

yep, fords allocation system is trash. dealers up north get screwed as they don't sell as many mustang as dealer in the south do so they are naturally handicapped. buyers are often forced to go to dealers they are unfamiliar with to get a car rather than using the local dealer they usually buy from. and there is no consideration given to brand loyalists. if you're a flipper or you have deep pockets and don't care about the price you won't have a problem.

not at all surprised that ford did nothing about mark ups. they publicly threatened the dealers with the lightning and dealers are already marking them up before they hit the lots.

Cars can sit at FRAP waiting for a full rail car. If your territory doesn’t order many Mustangs, that can take a while.
My car was shipped pretty quick to the Dallas area. I know KB’s car sat for quite a while before it started its travels to southern TX.
Back when Fusions were built there as well, rail cars flowed much quicker.

Hopefully nobody here was waiting on these 5.

One good thing, Ford only puts in enough gas to drive the cars on and off the railcar or trailer and get the car to the gas station at the dealership. And an added bonus, the cars were probably in transport mode so no one was going to out run the police.

Based on your theory I’m sure those dealers up north didn’t complain when they got more Raptors than the dealers in the south. All manufacturers with a limited supply have basically the same basic allocation system. Sell a car earn a future allocation. When supply is tight nobody is happy.

I don't think northern dealers get more raptors than southern dealers. the F150 isn't a season vehicle the way a mustang is. my buddy in texas says raptors are everywhere down there.

Yeah probably not a good illustration. Complaining about the allocation system and ADM is pointless. It’s a turn and earn system for the most part. The dealers have more rights than you think and would surely litigate if the system was unfair.
