I’ve had a few and my wife’s current car is black and I just told her the other day no more black cars LOL. I’d make an exception for a 500 but it’s not my top color choice
What is your preferred color?

Beautiful car. Have a hard time pulling the trigger on a black car anymore though. Keeping them clean and showing every little imperfection just drives me nuts anymore. But we’ll see. It is the GM’s personal car that he’s selling, we talked about it for quite a while this morning. He knows I have some interest in it, so we’ll see how it goes. 100% stock except the window tints

I agree with you. I love black cars but after my first one I said never again. Every little nick is a beacon of flaw.

I am now on my third black car. Stupid stupid stupid..... Some weird sado mastic behavior going on.

Beautiful 350! They look so so good when they’re clean, but my OCD kicks in when it’s dusty 5 minutes after a wash, plus every little nick, ding, etc.

Haha, I can see all the swirl marks already LOL.
The reality is that they won't create any swirl marks whatsoever, if properly used. In other words, you don't swab a car down with one after a jaunt down a gravel road.

It was said in jest but as a general rule I don’t ever dry wipe my cars. Dry wiping will leave micro scratches and they do compound after a while and will become visible. If my car is slightly dusty, I’ll just use a quick detailer of some kind and a plush microfiber. To each their own but I stay away from the California dusters and such.

I'll not turn the thread into detailing tips further, but a certain 10 year old Mustang I bought new has been washed exactly three times, the rest has been light dusting with a very old California duster and detail sprays. Not a scratch on her, and Magnetic is the next worst thing to black in some respects. Wish I could say the same about tiny rock chips.
