So I’m going up to the dealership on Monday to order a 2021. I have a 2020 order but at this point I’m unsure if my dealership ever had the allocation I was promised to begin with.(order back in March and have been on material hold ever since) So I will keep that order if by some miracle it comes thru but I will also put a order on a 2021 so I can be first in line if the 2020 falls thru. Just weird to be 2 days before ordering and not have the order guide at least.

Wow. Im not so sure I would do business with that dealership again. If they didn't have the allocation, they knew they didn't. Sounds like a hail mary to me on their part. They put you through the ringer for no good reason.

I’m at the point where I don’t really have a choice. They are the dealership me and my family have been using for over 15 years and were the only ones to give me a allocation for MSRP. I really am stretching myself thin as it is at MSRP and I can’t afford any ADM.

How many 2020 GT500's did they sell?

They told me they had 5 allocations. So far 2 have been delivered and the other 2 have VINs. My car was supposed to be their 5th allocation. The GM recently spoke with the regional rep and the rep said that they didn’t think the dealership had that final 5th allocation but the GM was adamant they it was promised.

It was rhetorical. If the region makes allocation numbers clear then the dealer has no argument there. Unless their argument is math based and the Mustang sales in the prior year makes the claim for a fifth allocation viable.

The dealer will have access to all the needed information to place your order for the car, otherwise there would be no pricing or option information available to enter the order.

On a side note, I hope Ford learned from their problems from 2020......

You are probably better off with a '21 if so.

I hope so. At this point I just want the car, I sold my gt350 back in May that was my daily for the last 2 years. Haven’t had a car since then.

There were only 35 VINs issued last week (Wednesday) and the last VIN had a Build week of Nov 30th. So there is hope for those that are waiting for a VIN. :like:

Ordering a 21 as well. My dealer said he was told ordering bank would be open Oct. 16th. Not sure who he spoke to, just what he relayed to me.
