My tip is there are two sets of springs for the Mach 1.

The photos so far of the non handling pack Mach 1's have a gap to tyre guard of at least 1 to 1.5 inch. This is with 40 series tyres with a total diameter of 27 inches.

The multi spoke Handling Pack rims with 30 series tyres (with 26.2 front and 26.4 rear diameters) will have a huge tyre to guard gap if the spring height is left unchanged.

I'm sure the Handling Pack version of the Mach 1 will have lower springs with different part numbers to the the non handling pack Mach 1's.
As per specs the springs are exactly the same.

The differences hardware wise HP/none HP in the suspension is the rear sway bar according to the specs available.

The fender gap will be bigger on the HP. On the rear 315/30=671.6mm compared to 275/40=702.6mm is a 31mm diff in diameter.

Id like to see the part numbers for the springs to be fully convinced.

May I ask why you think the springs are different. The springs on both models are most likely the same as in the PP2. With the larger diameter/stiffer swaybars I find it hard to believe that the springs are any different between the two versions.

Look at the tyre to guard gap on the non HP car below with with standard 27 inch front and 27.7 inch rear tyre diameters.

Now look at the the tyre to guard gap on the HP model below, with 26.2 front and 26.4 rear tyre diameter. The wheel to guard gap has closed yet the wheel diameter has shrunk by nearly an inch on the front wheel and over an inch on the back wheel.

The gap to guard should have increased on the HP version and that is clearly not the case and its not just this photo its a similar story with other pics of the HP model.

I hope I'm wrong and there is only once set of springs for both models, but I'm certainly not convinced.

Isn't it possible the top photo still has the shipping blocks in? If you watch Stangmode's latest video, he freakin drove home with them still on the car....

The effect from what lens, what angle the photos are taken makes a difference and can trick the eye. Also having a wider wheel and tire(and lower ET) fills up the void more which also can have a visual effect on the car is looking lower.

Tried to find some examples from my old car, both setups are with 20*10(ET35)+20*1(ET50). Only difference are the tires! In my opinion the car seems to be sitting at different heigts! Also to note if any of the pic would have been with a wide angle lens the "effect" would have been more pronounced

Going through the Mach 1 Supplement to Owner's manual, page 58, it looks like the springs are not the same.

thanks for that! Interesting man, I hate that we don't get the Mach 1 HP here.
I think this and the fact that we only get 3:55 Trac-loc was the nail in the coffin for me!

Interesting that hey are using the same bars more or less for both setups but different springs. Not sure if they have gone with a solid one for the HP to take the stress better due to e.g tires that have much more grip.

I don't want to bother with replacing the springs as well....

The list of parts required to upgrade your standard Mach 1 to as close as possible to the HP model continues to grow.
Thanks for confirming Charlemagne.

Also note the front brake rotors are the same size for both standard and HP models, I'm sure one of the the promotional videos on the HP car mentioned larger front discs, exclusive to HP only, that doesn't seem to be the case.

Where exactly are those shipping blocks? I ask, because someday my Mach 1 will be at the dealership and I want to check. Thanks.

I think they were referring to the rotors being bigger than the standard gt.
