Those prices are for OEM/stock .
i think your heads are good right ?
Add head studs .$250 .(and may be drop in Mahle pistons .No balance required )
Fortunately you can also do your own wrenching so you can be back making passes before you know it .... hopefully they are not back ordered too .

Two step and trans brake are the same button.

I also have my 2 step activated on the same button as transbrake but I have mine setup so I can turn off the transbrake and just activate the 2 step on a button. Seems like my footbrake can hold the car on the 2 step at 3200rpm and 8psi. Haven’t tested it at the track yet so we’ll see. 10r80 second gear leave

@olaosunt - I have my 2-step setup to activate off of the trans brake button OR it will also activate with the footbrake via a momentary button on the brake pedal (for footbrake only racing). Lemme know if you want some pics ;-)

Sorry for the delay and thread hijack. Footbrake uses ground activation for 2-step and transbrake uses 12-volt activation so you can have both options hooked up and ready to use

Been a busy few weeks around work and the house - but not much on the mustang. I appreciate all of the advice and guidance, but things are looking tight this year. It may just not happen soon. Sucks to see the car sit, in pieces, but it is what it is. I'm not giving up, just aligning expectations, even for myself.

All, I'm thankful to share that @fordsvtparts (Mike R) of AutoNation Parts White Bear Lake, MN - a sponsor of the forum, has helped me order a factory long block. I'm immensely gracious and can't wait to get the car back on the road. Once I get the car going again, I'll be focusing on a sleeved build that will take time based on how backlogged shops are and how back ordered parts are.

Stay tuned for more. In the meantime, support this vendor if you can. It is mutually beneficial.

PUMPED!

That’s awesome man! Are you going to back off on the power a bit to help it last until you get your built motor ready? You can still get your NHRA license and work on your sixty and reaction times, to stay sharp and ready for when the built motor goes in.
