Just as an update for everyone.

After speaking with Engineering at Ford, the shift forks are NOT a new design.

They are just a new "batch" of forks.

Ford is currently blaming the failures on bad casting. (Which very well could be the case).

After 52 days now Ford has FINALLY ordered me a new transmission and it is said to be arriving this Monday.

I can't believe it took 52 days to order a transmission that's been sitting in a warehouse for 5 weeks, but at least its getting done.

That makes the most sense.

I wonder how many cars had this bad batch. What is the build date of your car?

52 days is long time to wait. it's possible its a bad batch. you could buy a 3/4 fork on ford parts and try to get one for the Tremec and see how they compare. The parts themselves don't cost very much.

Interesting. Have they figured out a date range that these supposed bad batch came from?

I'm curious as well since I am one of the later builds.

Has anyone gotten this completed and seen their 4th gear lockout issue disappear?
