Looking on some advice if this would be a good upgrade or not or even if it is possible. I am looking to get a bit more performance out of my 15 GT performance pack and have been sold on the Ford power pack 2 for a while, just haven't pulled the trigger yet. I also read a bit about the 2018 intake manifolds being swapped onto the 15-17s with good results so wanted to see if anyone is running this combo here

You're going to need a custom tune. The Power Pack 2 won't have the variables changed to work with the 2018 manifold with the IMRC functions on or locked out.

Thanks. I wasn't 100% convinced on the intake mod but was leaning towards the pp2. For someone looking to get a decent performance boost should I stick with pp2 or look to other tunes?

Personally, I'd get an 18 CAI, 18 manifold and custom tune via palm beach dyno or Lund. No reason to buy the power packs unless you absolutely have to keep your warranty.

I'm not too worried about the warranty at this point, not even sure if Its still active on mine. How are the hp and torque numbers of the 2018 mods and tune compared to the 15-17 ford pp2?

For the 18 mani on our 15-17s, you will need injectors I believe. If that is the case go E85 on top and be done.

You only need injectors if you go E85. I ran a GT350 mani and TB with stock injectors on my 15.

Did you have the pp3? how was that compared to the 18 manifold+airbox? Is there a tuner that offers a map for the 18 mods or would that just be a custom tune for my car? Also if I was planning to get longtube headers in the future would that affect the tune as well? at the moment the only mod I'm running is the Ford Performance Borla catback w/o tune

Good to know, saved me some money. E85 isnt readily available in my area but like the 18 manifold and larger intake. Just need a tune.

are you going with the 18 manifold and airbox or leaving the stock airbox?
