Clearly you haven't been following the majority of threads on here... Very big difference when someone says "I think", "I would like to see" or "in my opinion" versus constant "thePill proclaims it will be so", and constantly stating incorrect information regarding technical matters.

Seriously, check out any thread on here... He is wrong 99% of the time, spouts information that has no relevance the majority of the time (the SCCA results that determine a cars capability was my favourite) and constantly speaks as if he has some inside knowledge.

BIG difference stating upfront that something is a thought or speculation or opinion versus stating everything as if it is a known quantity.
Just let ThePill talk to ThePill

Now there you go yourself stating your opinions as if they were facts.

"Clearly you haven't been following the majority of threads on here.."
"He is wrong 99% of the time"
"spouts information that has no relevance the majority of the time"

The only degree you have is a Masters in Bullsh***ing."
I have followed the majority of the threads on here since 2013 and have observed many people's opinions including the Pills which have sometimes subsequently been shown as inaccurate. I even get embarrassed about some of my own opinions, but that doesn't mean I am not entitled to have them.

Bullying someone (or urging others to bully someone) and name calling because of their style of writing or their speculations and opinions is inappropriate whether in the schoolyard or on a forum.

I just ignore anyone who annoys me, while looking for threads from anyone I find knowledgeable and entertaining. I use my experience to judge others opinions and I certainly do not need a guardian to protect me from the Pill's opinions.

I think I get it now.

Any of us can make statements that sound like absolute truths...as long as we add 'IMO' at the end.

Since The Pill does not add 'IMO', it is appropriate for you to say "he states his opinions as if they are gospel truth, so many users here may be mislead by his "factual" nonsense. If he were to imply what he was saying was an opinion, it wouldn't be half as a bad, but the fact everything he says is a statement as if he everything he says is right is quite annoying."

Maybe you should change your opinion about opinions in forums...IMO.
Just ignore him.

You can tell when people do not have experience or education in these areas.

thePill's not here to argue with people that don't know any better.

A 2018 GT350 is coming. He is made at thePill for some reason.

Perhaps he feels I engineered the car.

I find it interesting that you pick snippets out of entire sentences or paragraphs that serve to illustrate your own "point", when in reality, without the rest of what I said, the words are completely out of context.

Apparently satire is lost on you. I guess me saying "masters in bullshitting" is truly bullying to someone who says "i have a multiple degrees in automotive everything" eh? give me a break, lighten up.

And as for the rest of my sentence: "Because although you seem to a fairly intelligent individual, some of your statements come across as highly retarded." But again, you conveniently cut whatever you like out of what was really said to suit your own statements.

Observe the statements that he has made regarding what engine sizes HAS to be, or configurations that HAVE to be used to meet certain criteria. With the majority of them being false, ya know, according to physics and engineering, but hey, you take his opinions as gospel truth

I'm not bullying anyone and would never condone it. But when someone consistently presents opinions as facts, acts as if they have inside knowledge when 0 sources can be proven, and repeatedly makes statements regarding engineering aspects that he is incorrect about, sorry, that is not my opinion vs his, its fact vs fiction.

All the best man!

I like to disassemble things.
Please leave the "bullying" crap out of this. If you spout speculation as fact and are proven wrong, consistently, expect to be called on it.

Everyone needs to chill and just have fun with this. I for one enjoy thePill's posts and look forward to them. He certainly knows how to gore an ox with flair and élan.

Update:

Pirelli World Challenge announced that it will adopt the FIA's GT4 Class and merge it with GTS starting 2017. Just as IMSA GS is evolving to FIA GT4 Regulation, both PWC and CTSC will use the same vehicles.

Previously, there was suppose to be a GT350R-S develop for PWC GTS. As you can see, zero movement in GTS with the S550. Dean Martin appears to be prepping a new Mustang but I'm not sure which class.

Starting 2017, the GT350R-C will champion the Mustang in both Pirelli World Challenge and Continental Tire Sportscars Challenge. Only real difference will be the tire allowance. The GT350 will continue beyond 2018 to avoid hardships from homologation. Ford has used IMSA CTSC GS and Multimatic to engineer their GT4 registration in 2018. Class changes take place during the 2017 season but Ford has added the on board Jack system for GT4. Class changeover will be complete by 2018. Although, 2017 will officially be the end of GS Factory cars. Technically they changed for good this year w/ the OBJ.

It's about time they got a proper S550 into PWC, the Boss is getting a little long of tooth, at least in the looks area. They have been surprisingly competitive. The only place I've read that the GT350R-C was homologated in GT4, was on the wiki page for SRO GT4, hope you are right.

I suggested to Raj Nair (director of Ford Performance) at the Historic's at Laguna Seca that they build a GT3 version of the Shelby GT350R Mustang to race GTD or across the pond, he seemed intrigued. I would love to see them running with at least as much HP as the factory stock units, instead of restricted so heavily.

It's funny, the GTLM Corvette fanboys are always touting the fact that the street vette puts out more power than the race car, but don't realize that most if not all GT cars are also HP restricted for BoP reasons.

LOL trust me I don't feel you engineered the car, you have no worries of that one EVER happening :lol::lol:

And I am not mad at you at all. I simply disagree with your method of continually posting information as facts that are indeed just your opinion. You write in such a way to make information appear as "official" when in reality it isn't. In addition, you have been proven wrong a number of times on TECHNICAL matter that YOU apparently don't have any education on, but yet you continue to post on these aspects.

Another source has confirmed the GT350 and Voodoo until 2020.

SPECULATION ALERT!!! SPECULATION ALERT!!!!

Ford was planning on a 4.7 liter FPC to take the place of the larger displacement 5.2. The smaller displacement Voodoo 4.7 needs Port Direct Injection to make 530+hp or equal output to the Voodoo.

However, the Voodoo may still get DI this year.

In my opinion, Ford wants larger cooling channels in the block and a smaller PTWA bore may allow them to recast the block.

This has been moved to a date when the Mustang drops 100-200lbs. The GT500 is priority for 2017.5-2018.

The 5.2 was tested with a number or exhaust variations. The headers you are talking about weren't seriously considered but were tested.

DI is not needed for it to pass. I had a lengthy discussion at the 5.2 powertrain reveal at "SVT headquarters" with Adam Christian, an ICE engineer with Ford that played a big part in its success. Adam made it clear that "in a normally aspirated application, Ford engineers achieved better atomization with a port fuel injection setup. DI shows weakness when fuel hits metal (slang for aluminum, etc, in this case) and doesn't perform as well. Supercharged/turbocharged applications are another ball of wax."

In the end, Adam suggested that it is going to take some pretty drastic conditions (ie, legislative) to necessitate its use.
Yep.

Now thePill is here to tell you FoMoCo has been sitting on a more optimal FPC configuration.

While a great many people are in awe over the Voodoo, there is still more...

Direct Injection looks like it's Coyote bound in 2018 anyway so, I feel the GT350 could be the test bed for PDI research. As you stated, Ford gave you a lot of technical info and said it was the best way to do it.

Now, think to yourself, would a more efficient exhaust manifold design improve the current Voodoo? Yes... yes it would although it wouldn't pass emissions.

Would DI or PDI provide benefit to the current Voodoo? Yes. Using the entire industry shows us DI improves performance. It also helps cool the engine and keeps emissions low.

Emissions is purely why these special unequal headers were utilized.

Regardless, two Voodoo updates that are possibly inbound are the Equal Length Shorties and Port Direct Injection. Together maybe 20-25hp.

Voodoo 2 Update:

Port Direct Injection confirmed for the Coyote V8.

According to members here, there are 24 injectors and it makes the engine 4lbs lighter. This will add 20-30hp easy. Equal length headers should follow... The injectors were a "Global" fix and the headers are Voodoo only.

2018 GT350 could produce 550hp/440tq.

SPECULATION ALERT---SPECULATION ALERT

Port Direct Injection is very, very probable. The chances of the Gas Guzzler Tax being lifted are great but the chance the MSRP will go down is not. The GT350 could see the smallest price increase and this would be ideal for the prices thePill hears for the GT500. A very nice MSRP gap exist between the R and GT500's $66,995 if true.

The refresh cost are absorbed at the base level and the updates to the Coyote will be paid for before the 1st GT is sold with PDI in it... Thanks F150!!!

Maybe the GT350 can maintain even? It is in strong enough demand and would be a huge hit with the fans.

First things first, confirm PDI for the V8's, re-cert the Voodoo, Relieve GG Tax, results 550hp/440tq, $1200-$1600 refresh cost alleviated from the GT350 nameplate. 3-5% of the GT is between $1000-$1700 so, it will help the GT350 brand.
