IF it does continue, there will be no power bump. If anything, Ford may release a TracKey that could possibly increase power. I would strongly suggest if you are interested in buying one, that you look for your preferred color/options and work out a deal ASAP. Do not believe anything thePill says, he acts as if he has some inside knowledge when he doesn't. Anything he says is pure speculation, but he states his opinions as if they are gospel truth, so many users here may be mislead by his "factual" nonsense. If he were to imply what he was saying was an opinion, it wouldn't be half as a bad, but the fact everything he says is a statement as if he everything he says is right is quite annoying lol
Haha alright thanks. Do you think the refresh will be a big deal?

This is Porsche's model.

- Come up with a new model every year. It keeps ADMs fresh and the market hot. Having production runs of the same car last multiple years isn't beneficial compared to having short production runs, making tweaks here and there, and then releasing a new car under a different model designation.

The reality is, the more you wait and the longer you play the "latest and the greatest" game, the more you pay.

Yes.

However, if you can get a 2016-'17, GET ONE.

The 2015-2017 GT350's will be truly unique.

The Mustang lineup will eventually adopt Port Direct Injection. If the GT is getting a 15-25hp bump in 2018, expect a similar increase on the Voodoo shortly after.

The Voodoo doesn't use equal length headers and once PDI is added, the output will increase.

The GT350 has been the fastest selling and hardest to get Mustang in modern times. There is absolutely no remorse in racing when the GT350 entered last year. Ford is not dropping the nameplate... I don't ever think it wasn't intended to completely take over the active role the Boss 302 had as Ford Racing Turn Key Race Car.

If you think about it man, if it's a 2017 or an '18, the 2017 just handed a Porsche GT4 it's ass all season long. You can't go wrong...

The GT350 is probably one of the few cars you can buy that was R&D'd in Pro Racing. You really can't go wrong.

If the GT350 continued, there will be no refresh of it, with the exception of perhaps a taillight or headlight change if that. The car would continue on as before.

Even if a refresh brings some cooler features or if the next gen S650 brings even higher performance levels, I will be perfectly fine with it. Whatever the new models bring is largely irrelevant to me; I bought my R and absolutely love it. Whether there is a newer faster model down the road doesn't bother me at all, because I will be enjoying this car the rest of my life. They simply are phenomenal, and you can not go wrong with purchasing one IMO.

As my friend ohtobbad says, the smiles per gallon and the returns this car gives in regards to joy and satisfaction are HUGE and like nothing else I've experienced

According to the link, Ford is updating some materials in the GT350 as well as making some R stuff standard.

They also speculate that there could be some some improvements on the higher tier GT350R.

While the GT500 takes the stage, fresh off a championship the GT350 could be the only Mustang in the lineup that doesn't get a power bump. However, depending on the method Ford used on the GT to get more HP, the GT350 could very well adopt DI or PDI.

Exciting time to be a Mustang fan ;)

What is GT4?

The GT4 class was created to support the GT3 class with a true low tech amateur sports car series. The GT4 class consists of cars that are much closer to the road cars they are based on over than the other classes featured here. GT4 cars are often referred to as "Track Day" cars, as they are at price points that make them very accessible to gentleman drivers who want racing experience. The GT4 class is often seen accompanying GT3 classes in series around the globe. You'll also see GT4 class cars compete in single make series.
IMSA has basically adopted the FIA's GT4.

Manufacturers already participating, already GT4 homologated or interested.
Ford, Porsche, Maserati, Audi, Chevy (w/Corvette), Aston, BMW, Nissan, Toyota, Lotus, Jag and Honda.

Think of it as America's GT4 opposed to the European GT4. They won't shadow GT3 though... as of now.

GT4 also looks Pirelli World Challenge GTS compatible as well as IMSA GS prior to 2016. The best thing is GT4 host both Pro and Am series.

I think the GT350 is the strongest entry to be honest. It's stronger than the GT4 in which that actual Porsche was named after. The GT3 is in... GT3. It looks like Chevy has sponsored both Base Corvette and Camaro prior to 2016. I'm not sure the 1LE will be competitive with some of these entries. It won't stand a chance against a C7 GS, GT350 or GT4. It's more of a Nissan 300z, Vantage competitor.

Very neat. Ford is definitely on top here.

I like to disassemble things.

Now that is a rare and beautiful thing.

Agreed my man! There will be always something faster; I could have bought a more powerful, faster car now, but the 350/R was the perfect blend of driving enjoyment, performance, sound, looks, and uniqueness that I desired. My money certainly didn't buy the fastest car that I could, but it certainly bought the perfect car for me, and that's all that will ever matter :)

Well... I've saved my retirement money and I've been waiting for the GT500 before my wife and I decide.

I wish I could have pick up a 2015-2017 but I'm not paying ADM. My brain won't let me pay ADM.

If I get back on track, I'm getting a GT.

There's a reason why it came in 2nd (after a McLaren) in the best drivers car by MT.

It's literally pure speculation with NO FACTS. They literally just spouted a bunch of ideas and of course you bring it up here as if it's true. They aren't going to make any R parts standard; that's an absolute. If the 5.2L continues into 2018, it will be a CPC in a Mach 1 designation that will more than likely be an optional package on be GT, similar to the GT/CS that has been available in previous years but more in line with the Camaros 1LE option that focuses more on performance, IMO.

...IMO.
I think I get it now.

Any of us can make statements that sound like absolute truths...as long as we add 'IMO' at the end.

Since The Pill does not add 'IMO', it is appropriate for you to say "he states his opinions as if they are gospel truth, so many users here may be mislead by his "factual" nonsense. If he were to imply what he was saying was an opinion, it wouldn't be half as a bad, but the fact everything he says is a statement as if he everything he says is right is quite annoying."

Maybe you should change your opinion about opinions in forums...IMO.

Clearly you haven't been following the majority of threads on here... Very big difference when someone says "I think", "I would like to see" or "in my opinion" versus constant "thePill proclaims it will be so", and constantly stating incorrect information regarding technical matters.

Seriously, check out any thread on here... He is wrong 99% of the time, spouts information that has no relevance the majority of the time (the SCCA results that determine a cars capability was my favourite) and constantly speaks as if he has some inside knowledge.

BIG difference stating upfront that something is a thought or speculation or opinion versus stating everything as if it is a known quantity.
