At 3:20 into the video, he says "Back-end comes around under power. Wouldn't call it drifting, but would call it properly rotating". I would concur.
You're correct and I missed it. The car he is driving also has 400RWTQ. Surprisingly; the car still stays planted and predictable for the most part.
With stock power and the 10 speed auto; I cannot break the rear loose under acceleration in a turn under sane speeds. I can't goose it mid turn and break the rear loose either.

The point of this thread is that I'm getting a floaty feeling in the rear. Others have experienced it as well. Products are available to reduce this feeling. I don't believe that my rear tires are breaking loose, especially when it does it in a straight line as well. It's just more exaggerated in a high speed turn. I appreciate your help.

I have the lowly 3.15 gears and I don't think it helps. If I nail it mid turn; I just get more speed but no spin. Maybe it's an auto thing? My tires are 235's. I do turn off advancetrac and drive in Sport mode when playing in the twisties. Maybe I have a dud? I only have 1000 miles on the car. Even my 0-60 times are disappointing in Drag mode but it takes a lot of practice. I too can't believe how fast I can take the EB into a corner. The EB is easily the funnest car I've owned.
The stock 235s are completely useless for the torque the EB or GT has. It's so dumb that something that narrow is included as standard on a ~3500-3700 lb car with 350+ lb-ft of torque. You can get them to hook up OK in a straight line but they have so little grip cornering.

Maybe go back to the dealer and see if you can take another, identical car, for a test drive and see if it feels any different. Or try a PP car and see how that feels.

Mine really aren't too bad. They aren't RS3's by any means but I'm pleasantly surprised. I'm in AZ so I have no issues getting them warmed up. I can imagine that they would be worse in colder climates.

I drove my buddy's '15 base EB today and it was worse. He has complained about the squirrelly rear since new. His tires are the factory 17's though, so I imagine he gets more sidewall flex. Ford changed the IRS bushings and shocks for '18 also, so it isn't exactly an apples to apples comparison. I did enjoy his Cobb tune though! :D
