Not really, but I’d still like to know why it won’t let me update it.
Could try the uninstall and reinstall trick. It is a windoze program.

When I did mine it wouldn't flash the exact number I put in. It was off by 1 or 2 miles.

@breeves002 I'm trying to flash the digital cluster to manual but I don't have the file names (so I can download them from motorcraft) you got any idea where to get them?

The assembly is called the "steering column housing assembly". It holds the clock spring, wipers, blinkers, and SCCM. Only the SCCM is programmable. The rest of it is almost identical on all cars. Just varies slightly for heated wheel, lane assist, and auto wipers/rear wiper. It is the same or similar on many Fords.

The SCCM translates the button presses. The SCCM has a programming value that says what buttons it is expecting. It translates those presses to different can messages based on the button pressed. If you don't program it to the correct button it may translate the press wrong (voice commands instead of right arrow), or won't understand the press at all because it isn't expecting that resistance value from that button switch pack (will set a button problem code).

The only reason you need a new SCCM with the 15-17 cars is because the software on them doesn't have the information for the new buttons as they were never used previously. The software can be updated but it is a process to do that most people aren't comfortable with (more than as built in FORScan).
Hey Sam..

So got a question about the SCCM.
Doing a install on my brothers car got everything to work but the steering wheel buttons. The only one that works is the top left but it's controlling the wrong thing.

We took the clock spring off and googled the part number and it came up that it is for a Fusion/MKZ. So we were sold the wrong one I believe.

Do I need to program the clock spring or need to get the correct one?

Will this one work?
https://www.ebay.com/itm/1942579982...gux/j51DgukMPDHU+FFmmrBA==|tkp:Bk9SR5rY25P-ZA

There weird thing is I google the clock spring number EG9T-14A664-BAW and it brings up cheap ones for $60 but it says they fit 15-23 Mustangs and the Ford Fusions.

Will this one off ebay work without programing? When I did my install I bought a clock spring from a 2020 Mustang and didn't have to program anything.

Thanks

You can't, its a different firmware. Needs to be flashed by somebody with specialized equipment.
What about kilometers to MPH.

The cluster we installed is set up in kilometers an hour and Celsius for the temp?
Which doesn't make sense since the car was in Florida.

Thanks

IIRC you can change those yourself in forscan.
You 100% sure? I had to have mine flashed to fix from auto to manual. Was also told that needed to be done from going to mph from kph also. That is also how they apply the bullet Speedo info to the dash using another BIN file.

I understand that with this version of forscan im able to flash firmware to multiple modules (forscan 2.4 beta) I just want the file names to be able to flash them

This will not work to change it to manual.
