Hi Folks,

Looking for input on traction options for a 2019 GT Convertible, post FI. Before going FI, I had a little wheel hop. Now it's massive and across multiple gears (A10).

Was going to post this in the vert section or the suspension section, but thought since my porblem was FI induced, this would be a good place to start.

TIA

17x10's and 305/45/17's ET Street S/S or R will fix this problem. Street tires will not grip when you're making 600+whp, they just won't unless you keep a lot of torque management in the tune to limit your power output.

You can do SP088/89 spring combo from BMR to help with weight transfer to the rear

This right here^^^^
Tires is the biggest problem. Put a good set of MT radials on and she'll be set for you.

BMR cradle bushing lockout kit, vertical links and Nitto 555r should pretty much do it.

Im in a 2015 running over 900 wheel, nt05r plus all the bmr stop the hp package and have zero wheel hop. I do get wheel spin in first on the street, and some on 2nd occasionally but that's it.

Look into bmr and a good tire that will take care of ya.

I’ll second what AZ18yote said I have the exact same mods done listed above and took care of the wheel hop.

Another option would be to give Steeda a call. I am running everything Steeda makes for the IRS in a convertible and have eliminated the wheel hop.
