Both mine were off, I had to turn them both on in my car.
Yeah my question is about the Idle Switch did you enable it ?and what does this do if it was enabled?

Good question, unfortunately I did not turn the idle switch on. Maybe someone knows. I did try to find the importance of turning it on but found nothing. I do plan to turn it on since it seems like it’s on from factory.

Please update if there is any noticeable change once you enable the ideal switch

I ordered everything to install my AE mufflers , actuators and required harnesses and want to make sure I have everything to be done at once šŸ˜…šŸ˜‚

Hey All! I just want to thank everyone that chimed in with information on this topic. Using everything I learned here, I was able to buy the right parts (used mufflers with actuators and wiring harness), equipment (ForScan and communicator, HP Tuners MPVI3 and VCM Edit + credits) and enable Active Exhaust on my car. Super stoked I learned all of this and looking forward to more mods in the future!

Now you need to write a step by step guide. It is mandatory and shouls become a "sticky".

You will not get the fault without making the Active exhaust 1&2 enabled.

Thats what I had assumed driving 4 hours round-trip this weekend so wanted to make sure I could get the forscan side done before buying

After going through the entire thread, I couldn’t find a single post where someone managed to get the active exhaust working through the dashboard without initially having the fuse and relay in the fuse box.

Has anyone actually been able to do this?

I happen to be one of the ā€œlucky onesā€ - my 2018 Ecoboost Mustang Premium with Digital Dash has neither the relay nor the fuse. On top of that, most of the wiring required for the system to function is missing from the car.

However, for some reason, there is a section of wiring running from under the spare tire area (C3806) to both the driver’s (C264) and passenger’s (C215) footwell.

I’ve marked in green the part of the wiring that came from the factory and purple what I managed to add (Y-harness and 2 actuator jump-wires).
My plan is to add the missing wires and pins so everything looks and works as close to factory-standard as possible.

So far I ordered proper Fuse Junction Box and going to source components from it.

If anyone has advice, tips, or experience with this, I’d really appreciate it!

I'm helping a friend install active exhaust. He has everything connected and ready. I did the forscan. He has the relay and the fuse. He is only missing the tune. My question is since active exhaust is a stock feature would I be able to flash a calibration file from a vehicle with active exhaust using forscan beta? (I'm here to learn)
