As I try and decide whether this is my next car or not, I started weighing the pros and cons…

Pros

Lighter
More Fuel Efficient
Independent Suspension
Faster than the Boss
Like the 3 bar in headlight homage
Like the hidden B pillar
Lower stance
Shark fin
Front Grill
absence of face rear intakes
absence of fake scoops of any kind
cleaner lines overall
deep set grill
slope of rear window
better interior quality
separate tri-bar taillights
side mirror stalks
Looks killer in bright colours such as grabber blue, yellow and orange.

Cons
Visually heavy rear
faux fastback created by angled rear valance
angled rear valance
Pointy rear bumper
stubby tail
Not as "wide curvy" in the hips as I had hoped
seemingly smaller trunk access
Body coloured diffuser separated from body
Busy BWM like intakes flanking grill
busy steering wheel
red debut colour
boring wheels
shape of side mirrors
looks plain in red, and boring in grey/silver

To each his own! All valid points of view. For me, pretty much none of the cons listed are cons. I am a huge fan of the 2015 mustang at this juncture. I am off the hook excited about seeing the car in person. I'm sure there will be things of which I am not a fan, but thus far NADA!

I am currently a dorky fan boy.

Me too. Elated you could say.

Btw Fender, I know you wrote this before the influx of more real life pictures but a few of the cons turned out untrue I believe. For one, I'm not seeing the "visually heavy rear" and I was pleasantly surprised by what I would consider wide/curvy hips which didn't come thru as well on the renders.

Lurker and first time caller here. I have a black 14 GT and was wondering if these black 19"rims were going to be available to buy..
I'm sure they will be, but they will be heavy most likely. Most Ford OEM wheels tend to be heavier than aftermarket. Have you looked at SVE or AMR styled wheels? Here's SVE on a grey mustang. I personally love them.
