Bahahaha ;)

Have we found a window sticker yet for the eco boost automatic and the GT manual?
I think 15/26 GT Manual and 23/30 Eco Auto.

That's with PP too. 15/19/25 isn't *that* bad, considering.

Just so you guys know and understand, just because the sticker says PP on it doesn't mean the mpg on the sticker is related to that option.

Go pull up a non PP model now that we have all the EPA estimates and it will probably be the same.

However, it doesn't mean it's not included either. If Ford figured that more than 33% of Manual mustangs would be getting PP then yes that number is including PP. I am more inclined to think that it is not, but I have no idea what kind of numbers previous mustangs TP had.

Dude, if you're trying to be even remotely intellectually honest about the pure, comparative economic value of the EB vs. the value of the GT and you're looking for validation on this forum, GOOD F'ING LUCK.

See my thread on the true add'l cost of the GT over a 6yr ownership period (no matter how you cut it, it's a good deal over $10k more) and you'll see all you need to.
That thread was mostly you justifying your purchase. You also went from 15K to 10K in the thread by listening to other members.

Not saying the GT isn't awesome, just that the way Ford has priced it, the EB is a substantially better value. People who disagree are either very well off, don't like numbers, or are fanboys...and I'm glad they are in the Mustang family, but I'm also glad that they've very clearly demonstrated that I don't need advice from them.
You are basically saying cheaper = better value, but that isn't true. Both are great values for different buyers.

Wow. So many unreasonable people in the world. No need to justify the purchase of anything if it's your money being spent.

The GT isn't a waste of money. At the same time, the EB is perfect for people that don't want all the power, fuel consumption, etc of the V8 but still want something "sporty". That's why Ford makes both.

But saying the EB is a vastly better "value" over the GT is a joke. Find me a car that has the GT's performance for a lower price from a dealer. I'll wait. I'll take my low 12s in the 1/4 and low 4s to 60mph for $32k any day of the week and twice on Sunday. Add a blower and you're competing with super exotics for less than $45k. What's the problem here?

+1

Ford didn't make one of the most recognizeable and enthusiast-driven vehicles in history based solely on 'value'. The car is meant to touch your inner youth. Look how many people are so passionate about the car. It's not about what's under the hood, it's about building something that millions of people can enjoy. Some of those people are driven by performance, others simply want the look and feel of America's pony car. Either way both are winners, don't feel like you need to justify your choice.

Agreed^^^^ if I were trying to justify buying a Mustang, I wouldn't be getting one. As financially a used car is always the better choice. Unless you get a horrible lemon.

I'm getting the V8 because I'm tired of compromising and just want to get the car I desire. I've wanted a mustang for a long time. The 15 just happened to drop at the right time, otherwise if there were no news of a new model, I'd have gotten an s197

And people thought I was bad at the start. Lol [emoji481]
So much unnecessary arguing in this thread. Be happy the cars are being built and quit stabbing at eachother.
but until they start shipping cars, what else is there to do?

Yea, i'm not sure why there isn't a difference in the Boss 302. Maybe a clause in the testing guidelines to where Ford didn't have to submit it for testing.

I'm sure that's the case - when Ford went through the C-Max debacle, the justification for its rating was that the rules allow two vehicles of the same weight and with the same engine & transmission to have the same rating, regardless of other differences, so they used the numbers from the Fusion hybrid. In this case, Ford probably didn't consider the Boss engine enough different to justify a different rating, though such info would certainly be interesting...
