Not only that but in the email sent to me today, Ford said the following: "The availability of this exhilarating vehicle will be limited". Sounds more and more like it will be a low volume performance vehicle. Which sounds expensive and not in the $40K starting range many were hoping for (me included).

Why hype something if you are not going to meet demand? Ford sounds like Tesla with that statement.

Production will be limited while they gauge demand. That’s just the way it works. Honestly I’d be surprised if there was a shortage. Can you imagine ADM’s on this thing?

Production is likely limited because they can’t build them quickly yet... This is Fords first EV so I would expect odd things like that to happen. I also fully expect the Tesla approach, announce the car with a low starting price but only offer the more expensive variant until it becomes economical to produce the base model... The variant offered at launch would likely be the AWD long range variant that probably would be priced in the $60k range. The base model RWD short range is $40k

Sorry Ford, you are messing with an ICON :curse::curse::curse::curse:

I bleed Ford Blue and I'd actually consider this SUV at some point..............but not with a pony badge on it. I have a tattoo of a running pony on my arm and I did this because I love the car that became an icon from Year 1 and has stayed true to its pony car roots for 55 years. Then, along comes this bland looks-like-every-other-SUV-"coupe" and to gain acceptance, Ford uses what should be a sacred pony log.

No Ford, just NO

Gaaaaaaa.

I threw up a little when I saw the pics posted above. Major fail if it has a pony badge. FFS.

Nobody posting these yet?

If this gets "Euro" tails as an official option before the actual Mustang that's annoying haha.

Judging by the tires and thin rims there will at least be a low performance version. If you're going to associate with the mustang name then you need to have a telsa like performance version with a sporty looking setup with some meaty wheels and tires. Hope they do
