If you put the qa1 next to the DSS, you will never buy the dss.

I love my QA1 and will buy another for the mach1 soon. The quality is amazing.

Hey @Mach1soldier have you installed the QA1 driveshaft on your M1 yet? I need to order one for mine but I cannot get a straight answer if the QA1 ds for the gt350 will fit the M1. Some say it will because it’s the same tranny and rear end but others say not necessarily because it’s a different motor and the length could be different.

The length of a VooDoo 5.2 block vs. Coyote ?
Well the 5.2 heads bolt to a 5.0 with no modifications needed to the cam chain drive system.
I don’t believe the transmission to engine mounting is any different either.

Are we talking manual
Or auto? I’m assuming manual?

my Mach has an auto and the qa1 fit perfect. I used the gt driveshaft.

If you have a manual, the gt350 will fit.

Manual
The GT uses a Different manual gear box than the M1. The M1 and the GT350 use the same.

Yes I do.
perfect! Thank you.
I was interested have you installed the Q1A driveshaft on the M1? Does it require also the rear diff to be dismantled in order to get the pinion installed, or it is just bolt-on on the outside, without any diff modification?

I have a QA1 in a PP1/10R80. I can not even begin to describe how great this upgrade is. The increase in acceleration and throttle response feels like it gives the car a more precise and linear power transition and transfer. Crisp and snappy to my foot.
I have debated getting a QA1 for my car. With the stock 10r80 DS weighing 29lbs and the QA1 CF weighing 23.5lbs, I'm just not sold on the potential improvement vs the cost. If I were needed something stronger for FI, this would be my move.

Do you happen to have any before/after acceleration data?

I‘m not sure if Steeda offers an aluminum 1 piece ds for the M1 and GT350, but if they do, I can attest to the quality being top notch for my 2019 Bullitt. There’s no vibration or noise at all and it’s as smooth as glass. I believe it is made by Spicer for Steeda, as mine has Spicer components on it.

It may be worth a call to Steeda and/or Spicer if you don’t see one listed on Steeda’s website.

Yeah, that doesn’t seem right to me either. I’ll verify here in a couple weeks. Im about to order the QA1 for my M1. I’ll weigh the new ds as well as tge 2 piece and the bearing when I remove them.

Now that you say that it does, but when I contacted Shaftmasters a while ago, they said they were no longer building a ds for the 2018+ cars.
