Thanks everyone for the help. It is an open track event. Not a real race.
that’s the info I needed. Especially about tire pressures. I’ll report back.
Heading to the FIRM for my first road racing day. Curious about a few things….
leave in drive or use paddle shifters?
tire pressures with cup 2’s?
anything to keep an eye on temperature wise?
it made the shifts a little quicker And smoother. I leave my car sitting for weeks with e85 in it. You won’t have a problem. E70 will give you good gains.
I’m using PBD. I’m happy. Data logging was easy with rtd device and phone app.
are you going to run e85? I wouldn’t bother with a tune if running only 93
my buddy and I just installed them on his car. Ordering my set this week.
his car is VMP supercharged and raised the front then blew the tires off after a few feet at the track. Now it raises fast and slowly settles.
what do you want to know? If you don’t have rears, I would get those first.

Is the leader in s550 suspension. His front struts are great. It also gets you access to him. He is the man when it comes to tuning these cars suspension wise.
Are you spinning or getting tire shake launching in first? Easy to hit the limiter then.
If in sport on the shifter, shifts should be pretty much instant. Slow shifts are usually a tune issue or your clutches are about to give up the ghost.
I have asked a lot of places.
Companies want you Either street or track. Not both.
Track people want to see a list of sanctioned events you go to and don’t like test and tunes. Track prep usually isn’t as good and safety crews may be slower or who knows what.

I have roughly 55 passes on my Mach now. Tires and a tune are most important in my book.
I can cut the same sixty foot every pass but the shifts for 4-5 5-6 are so inconsistent there is .15 variance in my runs. Same sixty foot and 330 every time. Just last half of track.
