THREAD UPDATED: 10/7/15

Got the direct fit, plug and play 4 bar MAP sensor system that I have been working on functioning properly and was able to get some more boost out of the car. Unfortunately there are some hardcoded ECU limiters in place that were restricting me from turning it up even more. Was able to work with Braden @ Cobb on these hardcoded limiters and we made some progress but still some things to sort out.

Have a little bit of SD adjustments to make but ran out of time yesterday. There is a break in the pull from a lean spot and causing a ignition cut. Will sort that out with the SD/VE tables and should be able to bring up the boost to where I want!

Hope to be into the 700's next week.

STD:

SAE:

Well, got around to testing out our AUX fueling system and our new engine. Unfortunately the 4bar MAP sensor setup that I was working on won't scale properly so I either have a faulty sensor in the intercooler or something else is whacky. I just placed an order for a 4 bar sensor that will work properly and should be here next week. That will allow me to turn the boost up from 27psi to the 35psi that I'm shooting for. So we should be in the upper 600's next week!

STD Correction:

SAE Correction:

Will update the thread next week when everything comes in and is on the car!

We will be doing a full video when I turn it up some more. Here is a video from when it was making 530.

This is the motor with ported head and new cams ?

You plan on running lower boost to compare head/cam improvements ?

Nice work

wow that torque curve looks way better than i was expecting at 570+whp.. Great Job MAP, was not expecting things to get to this point as quickly as this on the little direct injection 2.3l. Seeing that kind of torque around 4-4.5k is a more than acceptable low end compromise for me. Are these kind of numbers achievable and safe on a daily driver with a drop in rods/piston combo & stock sleeves? even 500-550 is right where i want to be if i could see a little more low end without having to ease the boost a lot on a smaller turbo. I'm really considering changing my long term plans, If only my PP/recaro ecoboost had the Torsen T2R that my '14 GT track pack had.. i wouldn't be itching so badly to get into a GT350

Wow I can't wait to see what it does with the boost turned up. That Aux fuel system is working out quite well then.

Rods/pistons will definitely support 500-550whp if built and tuned properly. I think a more suitable turbo for your goals would be a Precision 5558 Ball bearing, or a Garrett GTX3582.

Yea, working a HELL of a lot better than I thought it was going to work. Really finicky with tuning, so I spent a ton of time on that!
