I have 3.31 if you're interestedFigure this is a good thread for it but if anyone wants to swap my 3.73's for their 3.55's I'm more than happy to do that for free in northern california.

So much easier to put both cars on the lift next to each other and swap them, can't exactly do that in new york haha. Thanks though!I have 3.31 if you're interested
I like the 3.73 overall. 3rd is a hoot on back road sweepers - seems to hit the sweet spot between fun and stupid (60mph with a lot of steam left). Fits my style of driving pretty well. 2nd usually elicits emotional outbursts from the passenger seat. . .
You know I drove a PP car with the 3.73 gears and actually liked it. But since it was only a test drive the extra shifting versus the 3.31 car (which I ended up in but not for that reason) may not have been what I would have wanted in the long run.Other than 1st gear or lack of, I love my 3.73...I'm curious to see what the 3.31 or 3.55 feel like though
I think the 3.31 gears work well with the MT-82 since it's basically a close ratio 5 speed transmission (ie, 5th gear is 1:1 instead of 4th gear in most other 6 speeds). You know I drove a PP car with the 3.73 gears and actually liked it. The 3.31 gears may not be the best out of the hole but after that the car gets it's legs and pulls hard and fast once in second and beyond, so I have no regrets with the 3.31's.
How tall of a rear tire are you running? There is not a 4-5 shift required in the 1/4 mile with the 3.73 gears. I have run mine at the track a few times. Crosses the finish perfectly.
any tuner with HP Tuners can adjust the ratio. I would be surprised if they charge more than 150 (and most of that is the cost of licensing your VIN) or so to do it unless you want a tune at the same time.Anyone planning to switch gears had better do some research. It isn't as easy as just switching gear sets. The BCM has to be re flashed too and there are very few choices for that.
Very few if any tuners are using HP Tuners though.any tuner with HP Tuners can adjust the ratio. I would be surprised if they charge more than 150 (and most of that is the cost of licensing your VIN) or so to do it unless you want a tune at the same time.
it's all i use and if they have it, I have to think EFI Live must have it and SCT as well, not to mention there is a separate device available to change gear ratios so I can't see why it wouldn't be integrated into any handheld.Very few if any tuners are using HP Tuners though.
