And there you have it. So, it appears that there's not a solution for this car yet, but this gives you an idea of what sort of thing has to happen. Simply disconnecting the battery won't get you there.

That wasn't the question... We know we can't fix it right now ..The question was to the guys that have changed gears did it mess up the traction control or the ABS ..Did it pop any codes or cause any problems ..

Does anyone know for certain if the speed signal comes from the trans or from the wheel speed sensors? I just changed my 3.73 to 3.55 and havent noticed any effects yet but its only a couple mph difference so it would be hard to tell by looking at the speedo.

True, but it was FivepointOHYEAH's question. I already took a stab at your question previously. I still believe that it will tolerate the change to a point. After that threshold, the system will fault. I can't see how it wouldn't, based on how the chassis controls systems operate.

On my older generation car, you can replace the stock 3.27 gears with 3.55s and the speedo will be off, but everything will operate fine. You go to 3.73s or shorter and you will loose ABS (and traction control if equipped) unless you reflash it. I expect that a similar limitation will exist in the programming now. What we don't yet know is if its a hard cutoff (above ratio X) or if its simply a tolerance band around whatever ratio is stock.
