Great answer. Couldn't agree more as an R owner. I love mine and put almost 8K miles on it. The tradeoff was I put all-seasons (305 square) on the CF wheels to make made better ride quality better and reduced the risk (a bit) for pothole strikes etc.
I drive in shitty NJ and just deal with...
Bdubbs-
Quick story on my 2020 R, regarding my battery & alternator, that was extremely dangerous and want to share so this doesn't happen to you or anyone else.
Backstory - I park the car in my bldg parking garage and wasn't able to put it on a battery tender (no wall outlets were...
Alternative suggestion to removing it entirely- as I had the same issue.
After about a month, I decided to do manual heel toe myself - but rather than take out the entire mechanism- I just set the blip at about 15%. Now it mimics an automatic transmission in "S" mode that gives a tiny blip on...
Since I live in the NorthEast I wanted to have an All-Season tire to drive around all year and not worry about cold/wet conditions. I went with 305 square Cooper RS3-G1. Happy with the tire but would have loved to go with Mich PS4S but not taking a chance in the cold. There are no other ultra...
Thanks for the advice. Took it to Ford and they swapped it out under warranty. Seems this is a common failed part and easy to fix. Just documenting here in case anyone else has this code come up under check engine.
Was hoping to get some advice on the forum- as my 2020R w/ 6300 miles - had the check engine light come on yesterday and threw out this code (see pic). The car ran perfectly on a 2 hour spirited drive but the only odd thing I noticed is when I was getting gas the fuel pump tripped within the...
Happy to share my Hagerty experience privately for anyone that is interested. I wasn't able to insure mine to 180K - since like I said in my earlier post I have 6K miles on it. Yes, it would be almost impossible to replace but I'm still going to drive it just less now that I have the new...
This is exactly why I went and got insurance from Hagerty. It was way more expensive than my Geico policy but 100% worth it to have peace of mind while driving.
Mine has 6K miles but it seems like I need to start driving it less. At this rate, I think there is going to be real value to holding on and waiting another 5-10 years. If it turns out that these 350s are the last manual NA Shelby with the Voodoo V8 + Ford goes electric -- I don't see how low...
I dropped an Allen key and it went straight down to the bottom. I must have screamed and cursed for 20 min straight. I finally got it out after a few hours hunting for it with a magnet and a camera but next time I'm going to create and or buy something to go under where I work as I CANNOT have...
Good luck. I'm shocked you sold it - as I thought it would have stayed with you for a long time- based on how you described it in your you tube videos. Black is one of my favorite colors in the R.
I agree 100% on the Sport Throttle mapping. It's too jerky/responsive in my opinion. Personally, I like Normal, Sport Dampers, Sport Steering but also really like Track Mode. For some reason the throttle mapping on Track Mode doesn't seem as bad as sport. Wish I could do Normal, Track Dampers...
