I recently successfully modified my ill fitted FRPP CAI on my 2018 GT to complete the new Performance Pack install . I never really paid attention to the IAT's before with the stock inlet system versus the new one.
In 88F degree heat with 90% humidity in slow traffic I observed a 24F degree...
Just received a 3.0 JLT oil separator for my 2018 GT. With the new FRPP 87 mm throttle body, it won't fit, the can body is right where the electrical connector is on the TB.
Not JLT's fault, so does anyone have any advice on an separator with would mount away from the throttle body?
Have a new neighbor just down the street with a really nice 87 Buick GN. He says it is all stock, but has a "bigger" turbo. We were discussing his GN versus my GT (mine is stock).
Since his bigger turbo is an unknown, wonder who would prevail in roll on from around 40 mph?
Tired of my stock 2018 GT spinning the tires in first and all the way through 2nd. Hit the rev limiter the other day when it let go in 2nd, and shut down forward progress.
So I decided to order some Indy 500's. I know they may spin some from a dig or 15-20 mph roll, but I hope they hook much...
Did track mode on my 2018 for the first time last week. Be careful since this puts traction control in "off" for the most part.
My 2018 completely stock GT Premium running on 93 octane can break the rear tires loose at 30 mph rolling and things can get squirrely in a hurry. From a dig my GT...
I have read some posts where people running different centri's have commented on a seat of the pants felt decrease in low-end torque.
Maintaining the stock low end torque with a centri would be OK, since the mid-range and top-end would be there. Loosing low end torque would not be OK.
I am...
Been debating going FI or not. My 2018 GT Premium is pretty awesome for the street and after much in my head debate, I'm thinking of doing some mods to up the RWHP to around 450 or a little better.
I want to keep the stock exhaust, but would add 1 3/4" long tubes to keep the torque up. So my...
Observed a posting on a well known name centrifugal blower being tuned on a 2018 GT. On the dyno, it recorded 517 rwhp, and was rated around 600.
When the 90 degree inlet elbow was removed, there was a jump of over 50 rwhp. I can see how the sharp 90 degree inlet elbow could really casue...
Does not matter what FI you run, centri or PD. The question is who is really happy with the supplied tune? Any problems, such as surging, hesitation, idle issues, or not?
Not interested in "Company A" or "Company B" remote tuned mine, or go dyno tune, want to know who came the closest to, or...
No E85 in my region. So . . . with the proper ratio of Boostane and 93 octane, I can get to 99-100 octane easily.
So question is, can a 2018 GT with some bolt-on's and 99-100 octane using Bootane achieve close to the same, It not the same HP/Torque as E85?
About to begin a dedicated build for a high horsepower super charged Gen 3. My question is which forged piston provides the lowest running clearance in the bore?
Mahle indicates their pistons can run .0006" - .0014", which is impressive, if true. Want to stay as close to 12:1 as possible...
In my region (Northeast Louisiana) I will see anywhere from 4 - 15+ Challengers and Chargers for every Mustang I see every time I take a drive. Seems these things are everywhere I look.
Majority are 6 bangers, with an occasional STR-8 and/or Hemi, or 392. If Fiat Chrysler America is giving...
After owning my 2018 for about 7 months, I have "postulated" a seat of the pants power band. Mine is 100% stock, I know it's not a torque monster (I had a torque monster many moons ago), but this is my assessment of the real world power band:
* Idle to 2,000 rpm - easily keeps up with the flow...
I looked for many months before I finally found what I wanted. Here's what I got and what I paid:
Found like new 2018 Deep Impact Blue GT Premium with A10. I found the original window sticker in the glovebox and MSRP was $45,000.
This particular GT had only 1,900 miles on it and it looked...
Been perusing the Camaro and Challenger forums. I am not a Chevy hater (I drag raced Chevy's for years) and really like the Challenger's.
But they seem to have litany of engine noises, trans issues, failures, leaks, squeaks, etc. I love my 2018 Mustang GT Premium, and have had no issues...
Approaching my first oil change on my 2018 GT. I am thinking of going with Mobil 1, 10W30 (I know the manual states a different viscosity).
I live in the hot South, and I have been running Mobil 1 for decades and used it in my old race cars for hundreds and hundreds of 1/4 mile passes and...
