Did track mode on my 2018 for the first time last week. Be careful since this puts traction control in "off" for the most part.

My 2018 completely stock GT Premium running on 93 octane can break the rear tires loose at 30 mph rolling and things can get squirrely in a hurry. From a dig my GT spins the tires all the way through 1st and most of 2nd from a dig.

It's fun, but kills forward momentum. Can't imagine trying to hook FI car with Pirelli P Zero Nero's in track mode.

Fyi hold your traction control button for like 7 seconds and you'll see the message advanced trac off. Now it's really off. In track mode alone it's still rather tame. Do this and see the difference :)

The problem is the Pirelli's. (I assume you have the All-season's that came on the car) Tires are the #1 most important thing you can to do to improve performance and safety. There isn't a skinny all season tire on Earth that will "hook up" even on a bone stock GT. Get some real tires and you will be amazed how much faster and safer your car is.

Gotta learn somehow ;) unless I'm going on a trip that is too short for things to warm up, I always turn off advanced trac. The car just feels so much better, overall. It's like the stock tune pulls timing regardless of if you're losing control or not.

I can nearly dead hook under 10mph even with e85 on my michelins in track mode. I never have to lift my foot off the gas

This is a big reason the performance pack cars can run high 11's out of the box with the A10. TRACTION. The gearing does of course help as well, but that means nothing without traction to hook up.

I've only used track mode in a very short distance over a straight line, as I can easily spin through all of the first 3 gears.
