So the saga continues, the tune won't go in because the stock tune with recalls is a newer version than the performance tune. Speaking with Ford Performance they informed me that it will take weeks before they have a performance tune with recalls. They said I'm not the only one with this issue. They are now planning on sending out a bulletin notice to owners with the Ford Performance Kit installed to wait until they have a performance tune with the recalls in it. Don't go and have your car updated with recalls until the performance tune is ready if you have the M-9603-M8B kit!

Installed Improved Racing CCR catch can and mounted the 960 oil cooler.

It's beautiful, but what the hell are you catching? That damn thing looks like a dry sump, or a catch can for squirrels or mice.......where do I get one? LMAO. Im just jealous because mines a UPR (still great) and is hiding next to the rad.

to be honest...even though I saw the dimensions on the site, I was pretty surprised by how big it is. I just went with the size comparable to the Watson/Peterson offering.

Thanks, when speaking with Tom over at Ford Performance, he said that there were like 40,000 cars with tunes like mine all waiting for the software engineer, I guess Livernois, to update the tunes to work with the recalls. My car's home and parked for now. I'm driving my 2011 Mustang while I wait.

Saturday I got signed off to move up to the Advanced drivers at NCM. And the same happened at Gingerman with the RevMatch group last month.

What I like is the greater feeling of "trust" with my fellow drivers. You don't need to ask them twice when giving a point-by, they get it done efficiently, and they often give me a little Thank You wave. And it's no biggie to go into a turn side-by-side if the preceding straight happens to be rather short.

Sure, I get passed more often. But hey, better they be frustrated than me, haha!

I fabricated a divider between my upper and lower grilles as an experiment to divert dedicated air to my low-mounted oil cooler and see if CHT is any lower on track days.

I put the slip-on Audi 95mm exhaust tips over my active exhaust tips. I went with the black option over chrome for my blackout package pony.
I ordered the wrong set for the other side and am waiting to get those in.

After almost 7 years with these fairly ugly stock tips I am really digging the change.

I still have to hammer these down a bit more, doing it slowly after I heat it up from driving. There is a lip that should cover the stock tip edges completely when finished.

Unless you alter the angle of the cut on the existing tip, I don’t think the slip on tip will close all that gap down

The stock slash cut tip is set at an angle. When I installed the Audi tips I rotated them so they matched the factory angle. That allowed them to sit in a little further and look more OEM.

That is my plan, they are aligned with the slash right now but got further in to go. Should look pretty clean when it's all hammered in.
