I drove my GT350R base to my parents house. There’s a guy in town with a Ford GT that he bought new in 06. He invited me over as a fellow enthusiast.
He passed on a Gulf GT for the same price.
Cool guy, but he didn’t seem to care too much about my “Mustang.”
But let’s be real, his GT stole the show. I got a cold start video of it too. Sounds incredible.
In other news, my GT350R roadtripped decently.

I got my new Michelin Pilot Sport 4s install today. Love the look and the ride. I went with 325 30 19 in the rear and 305 30 19 in the front.

Hadn’t don’t it yet but battery is DEAD in her today. Been three weeks since I drove her and last time she didn’t exhibit any signs of a low or dying battery. So I’ll be shopping for that sometime today.

I stopped by the Service Department at Price Pro Ford to see my car, still hasn’t moved.
Dropped it off March 26

I got an update from the mechanic that is working on my Shelby on Friday. Goes like this….

Assembling your transmission, and one of the plugs pulled the threads out of the case 4lbs before torque spec. Getting you a new case middle. Wont have it until Monday at the earliest. Im sorry about the delay on top of delays. I think I understand now why people dont want to rebuild them..

First question that I have is how do you know the threads pulled out 4 pounds before the proper torque spec ???
The saga just seems to go on….

It might not be dead! I just went through this and, after 6+ years of ownership, I just learned that our cars go into a sleep mode that replicates having a dead battery if it doesn't get driven for a period of time. I was about to replace mine but they tested it at O'Reilly's and said it was 100% charged and fine (my car is on a battery tender so I was surprised it had died - because it hadn't!). I think I probably replaced the OEM battery a couple of years ago mistakenly because it was probably just in sleep mode.

Did they load test it? That will tell you of its good or bad. Charged and showing 12 v is not always a good battery. If it passes a load test your good.

That sucks.

My guess would be a digital torque wrench.

My GT350 has been enlisted into daily driver duty since Wednesday when our family car was towed to the dealership with a dead lithium 12V battery that refused to take a charge. Luckily it will be replaced under the CPO warranty (3k for a damn battery otherwise).

WTF? Tesla lithium 12V (actually 16V) are off the shelf items for what I consider an outrageous $300-$400 (1/10th as much). Never heard of one failing on Tesla forums, but sure they can.
