I don't know your situation but there is no lifetime warranty on emissions components.

8 years or 80K miles. Sadly, the OP's vehicle isn't covered.

Between the end of the manufacturer warranty (or whatever extended warranty) and 8 years/80k miles the federal mandated warranty only covers converters, manifolds, engine computer and the OBD connection. Not the entire system.

I know that's incorrect, because mine was replaced under federal mandates, and quoted the details earlier.

Federal Specified Major Components: Covers major control units for 8 years or 80,000 miles.

Covered EVAP Components

  • Purge valves, vent valves, and pressure sensors
  • Fuel lines, vapor hoses, clamps, and connectors [1, 2]

Had some Ford points left, so I order the FORD Performance catch can. Fits great. I usually use UPR but figured I'd try the FP one since it is designed to fit in the space and mount behind the coolant tank.

Then I added a nicer steering wheel. I don't care for the stock "skinny" steering wheel, so I like one with better/thicker wheel to hold onto. I did lose the heated grip function but I never use it and don't care anyway.

It was 100 degrees today, so I decided to install an Evil Energy oil catch can. Took only 15 minutes to do, but my T shirt was soaked in sweat. Got a great deal on it on Amazon $65. Very well made with internal baffle. Greased the threads so I can get it open later. Also used teflon tape to seal the fittings. We'll see how it performs. The reason why I added it was, I noticed I only got 9.5 quarts back changing oil. So I figured the engine is sucking it in from the PVC valve, since I detect no oil leaks.

Delivered about an hour ago to my car guy for a full inspection. Will probably be a keeper even though I wasn't specifically looking for a CS.

Delivered about an hour ago to my car guy for a full inspection. Will probably be a keeper even though I wasn't specifically looking for a CS.

That car is a keeper. Very low production numbers if you look. I love mine.

Have your car guy (a shop?) give it a real detailed look-over. Carvana / Silver Rock will cover just about anything within the first 7 days, including brakes and tires if they are worn enough, with very little push back.

It's a local tuning shop / Mustang specialists. I got the car back this afternoon and everything is solid. He captured some oil and is going to see if he can get it to the lab and back in the next few days. It has a transmission clunk in 3rd gear, so he reset the transmission learning tables and told me to drive it like normal for a few days and see if it smooths out.

He told me the same thing about Carvana. I think that's Carvana's way of making up for not checking (or cleaning) the cars well on intake. Probably costs them less.

It’s been my theory for a while that carvana reconditions their vehicles after the sale, if the owner finds the problems in time. I think all they do is send them through a car wash and take pictures.

Installed my new tail lights today and sat the RTR wicker bill on the spoiler to see what it looks like with the new lights.

Well just a quick update is all I have, I went to install my my Cervini cobra R hood and it did not fit. I had a local body shop paint it before I went to install it. The hood was sitting on top of my fender even if I loosened all the bolts, closed it and moved it around freely.

I ended up measuring it to see if it was square and it's not. When the packaged arrived there was zero protection on the hood other than 4 foam pieces, 1 on each corner. Other than that it was just thrown into a card board box. I will attach a picture of how it was packed.

Anyways, I ended up taking this hood to a body shop and paid to have it painted on both sides. Because of that the hood is non returnable. So im out not only the cost of a hood but also what I paid to have it painted.

On top of that this hood if you go to there website literally says no drilling, no shaving, no trimming and no cutting required. Well guess what? There are 21 holes that are for the weather stripping under the hood to attach to. And every single one of those holes was to small.

So I would have to drill out 21 holes to make them larger. I reinstalled my hood prop and when I plugged it into the hole to hold the hood up my hood prop got stuck because that hole is also too small.

So I had to yank it out and it chipped and peeled the paint along with it. There is no way for this hood to fit unless it's cut. And again they advertise it as no cutting.

Here are some pictures of how it was packed and just SOME of the damage it came with. I have quite a few more pictures of even more damage.

AND here is a picture from there own website saying no drilling, no cutting, no trimming, no shaving. However I would have to drill 21 holes to make them bigger. I would have to enlarge the hole for my hood prop to fit AND it would have to be cut because it was laying on top of my fender.

But I made a portable, temporary tennis net center strap! (The center straps eventually get stolen from public courts, supposedly as a motorcycle tie-down or whatever.) The upper J-hook is a quick way to hold down the net center.

I just gotta remember to take it with me when I leave!

Took it to the dealership this morning for safety recalls for the fuel pump and the bake fluid level. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the software updates don't screw up my car.

Update: I went to pick up my car and got a dashboard full of lights and the car in limp mode. Way to go Ford! Can't trust them to do a simple safety recall. Had to leave it so they can go figure it out. The service manager said the recall overwrites whatever tune is in the car. I told him the car has the Ford performance tune. So we all know happens now. They'll load the stock tune back in. Then I'll load the performance tune and it will clear out the safety recall fixes. Way to go Ford you didn't plan on cars with the Ford performance kit M-9603-M8B to need the software fix for the fuel pump.
