Test fit with 650 style headlights while I wait for American Muscle to figure out how to send me a left and right engine mount instead of 2 Lefts and 2 Rights…

This is a fun build.

Out of curiosity, if you happen to be able to weigh the GT350 bumper without anything on it, I'd love to know the exact weight. I have a Speedkore full carbon bumper waiting to go on the car and wonder just how much weight savings is there. I'm betting it's only a pound or two savings.

Yep. And I think it's gonna be a favorite. Because even though that thread I mentioned on Page 1 seemed dumb at the time, the knuckle dragger part of me really wanted to see someone drop a snotty Godzilla in an S550.

Zack kinda did already, his first build was an S550 dash and interior and electronics in a S197 shell with a godzilla and a 10R80.

1/2" closed cell Dynamat in place of the factory jute insulation. Got a couple areas to finish up but the majority is in.

So with my highly accurate scientific bathroom scale.... OEM bumper cover is about 10lbs.

Motor mounts finally delivered. Engine bay stripped in prep for paint. The color is not staying magnetic grey…

Ok question for those that might know....

Does anyone know if Ford changed the valve body on the S550 10r80 in 2021? I know they changed to a shift by wire valve body in the F150s but they obviously didn't do that for the mustang. I can get a good deal on what appears to be a 2021 transmission but don't know if its compatible with the 2020 PCM... All compatibility specs for this PN list 2021 and up.

Another great build to follow! 😍

I expect it to be compatible because I know someone who got his 3rd 10R80 in a 2019, but last time he got the newest possible revision of it.
There are I think 3? revisions of the 10R80 for the S550. Details should be somewhere here in the forums?
