I was hoping to never post in this section ever again after all my 10R80 issues... unfortunately I believe that I am experiencing flaring.

My mustang does not tell me what gear I am in...so I am not sure which one is doing it. I believe it is 4, 5, or 6th. It doesn't happen all the time, and transmission temperature doesn't seem to matter. I primarily drive in Sport mode (not sport+)

Any suggestions?

Me too. This is probably my second post in this thread. So had engine misfire error code P0300 the day before I was to get an alignment at the dealer. So they fixed it with PCM reflash as well as did the alignment. They used TSB 22-2464. Warned me the Tranny might shift weird for 1000km while it relearns. Now the tranny had been shifting ok so far this season and I was happy. Used Auto/Normal in traffic and Sport everywhere else. Now after 150km since the flash its doing things it hasn't done before. Just blows/misses a couple of shifts then hard shifts with a clunk into 4th and 5th to 6th. Frustrating to see this. I'll report back if it keeps it up over the next 900kms maybe in September. They are so backed up for Tranny rebuilds at that dealer too. So they "fix" one thing but bugger up something else. Should have gotten a manual.

6) Extremely harsh engagement from Park into Reverse OR from Reverse to Drive (1st gear). Exterior temps do not matter. The engagement can be so harsh that it feels as if the car has been hit by another vehicle or like the driveline will rip the rear from the car.
It seems that I'm experiencing this, only not as drastic. I can feel the car shift forward and backward when going between the cars. I never felt this on any of my cars unless engine mounts went bad. Car has 11,000 miles so I doubt they are bad. Is this something that others experienced? Software flush would this?

Maybe or maybe not a unique situation. I have a 2019 roughly 35k miles, with a whipple 3.0l stage 2. Installed earlier this year along with the whipple tune. Prior I wasn't having any any of the symptoms mostly talked about in this thread. Now I get rev hanging, bucking, stuttering in low gears etc. in Sport plus. The slightly aggressive downshifting I've always thought as normal and I kind of like that, for sound purposes especially! Anyway, I'm in the process of checking trans fluid and resetting adaptive learning to see if that helps. I guess my question is, with not having issues before, is it likely the whipple tune causing this? should I go with a different tuner? Just hesitant to splash $1k if it hasn't fixed it for others.

Also I'm not under warranty so I won't be heading to a ford shop to get it looked at.

If it wasn’t there prior, but it is after the tune, that would my inclination as well. Especially given that many of us had that issue fixed from having a tune. Sounds like the stock Whipple tune they send out leaves more to be desired anyways.
