Maybe or maybe not a unique situation. I have a 2019 roughly 35k miles, with a whipple 3.0l stage 2. Installed earlier this year along with the whipple tune. Prior I wasn't having any any of the symptoms mostly talked about in this thread. Now I get rev hanging, bucking, stuttering in low gears...
Question for S550 10r80 Whipple Stage 2 on Whipple stock tune folk, can you and have you disabled the adaptive trans learning whilst on the Whipple tune? Hoping to eliminate the jerkiness with gear changes when running in Sport +.
Separately I occassionaly get a bucking/surging issue when...
It would of been practically free but good to know it's probably better to stick with a rez delete and active exhaust. I plan on doing headers after summer anyway.
I know this is an exhaust for an S650, but would it fit an S550 with Active exhaust. If not could it be adjusted easily to fit, asking because I saw someone getting rid cheap.
I think I figured out the issue, forgetting that the throttle body was not plugged in at all, so using the extension that I had running to the MAF, so what exactly plugs into the MAF sensor, I'm not seeing any extra connectors around.
Hey all,
Quick backstory - installed a Whipple on my 2019 GT, checked everything more than twice, connections, hoses, no leaks, burped the IC, injectors seem to be getting fuel, 1 wasn't sat right started hissing so adjusted and seems good now, loaded the tune. Went to fire it up and it turns...
I'm not sure they're 100% neccessary, I just felt like there was more give up and down than I was comfortable accepting was ok. They definitely seated better than before, I guess I'll just wait and see what performance is like. I'm in Ontario so testing will have to wait until April'ish!
Also I've seen this question asked before, but you do NOT need to remove the head unit to change/remove fuel rails. 10 mins max, don't get shafted by mechanics telling you otherwise!
Probably a slighlty unique situation and I didn't mention it earlier so my bad, but if you have the slightly older lid with 3 fittings you DO need shims. Whipple has them for $80, which you can probably source yourself cheaper, which I think was a nice move from the person I was talking to at...
Ok thanks, I imagine most people don't tinker with them after they've dropped them into the head unit and screwed the rails in, I'm sure I'll notice if my fuel consumption is garbage and they're leaking.
Just ressurrecting this thread, I recently got a stage 2 gen 5 kit, so based on the above I'd of got the 52lb injectors? Would they still require a shim if seated with the fuel rail in the lower position? I put them in and there's some give if I force them up and down. Thanks
Hey, I have a GEN 5 3.0l whipple head unit and I'm looking to buy something similar to the stage 2 kit, if you have anything available like fuel injectors, heat exchanger, heat pump, throttle body, fuel pump, cables, pulleys etc. Please reach out. Willing to pay shipping + duty via ebay if...
Hey folks, new to the forum, I have a 2019 GT PP1. So I had the opportunity to purchase a Whipple head unit at a ridiculous price, 3.0l Gen 5. I'm looking to scratch together all the neccessary parts that would come in a stage 2 kit, I tried searching all the whipple install pdfs for a part list...
