Hey!
Anyone running this radiator in their 350? if so how was installation and how are temps looking compared to stock?

A handful of us have it. There’s a few threads floating around with my remarks and others. Install is a basic d-I-y job, it’s just a radiator. Temps will look completely normal. It’s hard to quantify, but the tangible benefits are…hard to explain. You’re not gonna see a 15° drop in CHT for example. It won’t run any cooler, this will just help it not get as hot. Bang for the buck, not a great mod IMO. The stock radiator is more than efficient. Plenty of hard core track guys on a stock radiator. I did it cuz I like spending money on my car for fun projects. And it looks good. LOL.

But I will say this. Here’s an example of one of the benefits;

So like I said, this won’t make the car really run any cooler. But my tune did. My tune dropped my CHT a solid 15° across the board. But now with this radiator say, sitting in hot traffic for example, my cooling fans literally never run on high. When it starts heating up and the fans kick on the first setting (60% I think), the temps plummet immediately. Way more efficiently than with the stock radiator. I attribute that to this guy.

I went from a leaky Mishimoto to a stock PP rad (same as the GT350) and noticed virtually no difference in temps on track.

The OEM unit is pretty good, it just needs airflow both in and out. An open grill delete did wonders for my temps, then coupled with a vented hood virtually solved all of my cooling problems on the track unless it's like 100+ degrees ambient.

Annnndddd there’s that. I’m on my second Mishi. First one sprung leaks just outside a year. Warranty was easy enough to deal with. That is a topic of the brand tho. If this one springs a leak I’m gonna try and fight for a refund instead of a replacement (or sell that one) and go Fluidyne.

I ran it on both my fi’d 350’s, no issues. It was a necessity here in the summer with triple digit temps and the ac on. Then again, generally here everything gets a bigger radiator, cheap insurance with summer temps.

One thing ya'll need to keep in mind, the water temp is actually the head temp...its a sensor not even exposed to water. So the dash isn't the best way to measure improvement.

Generally agree, though, that its not really needed unless you're having problems. I ran one when my setup was more stock and it added a little more capacity--meaning it took longer to get head temps north of 230.

FWIW - hood vents will have more impact on temps

That's literally what happened to me, just about a year in started leaking. One call to Mishi and they had a replacement sent out immediately so that was a positive. I didn't actually intend to move on from them, but I had an event that weekend and didn't want any downtime so I used my buddies OEM radiator that he just had laying around. However after noticing the same exact temps that weekend (on an unusually hot day no less) I decided not to go through the trouble of swapping in my brand new replacement from Mishimoto.

Was a necessity for me, the procharger intercooler blocked too much airflow and dumped me into limp mode…quick radiator swap to the mishi, and all is well šŸ˜‰

lol, if you have oil temp issues in the great white north…then you have a problem. There are many of us down south with almost 100k on ours with no issue šŸ˜‰

…what are you seeing, that we aren’t?

Ive only had issues on high humidity days. While in Nevada in 104° I had zero issues. Blackhawk farms 94° 95% humidity gave me issues.

hmmmm, interesting….because as you know, the south has no lack of humidity and Nevada is just a big desert 😬
