Yeah, after almost 11 years with the original, this makes the car feel new and more expensive lol. Not that my custom leather interior didn’t do that but this is in my hands so the tactile feel is so much more.

I fixed the pony emblem in my grille today. I had replaced the OEM chrome emblem with a black one a few years ago and I noticed today that one side had popped out (not completely loose but not seated). I couldn't push the retainer down any further by hand so I ended up using a socket to apply even pressure from the back side while I pushed from the front. All seated back down nice and tight again!

For my 2015 convertible GT.
Order a set of 17" x 11" wheels from Signature Wheels to match my current rims.
Install Mickey Thompson ET Street drag radials 305/45/17 .
Ordered my 3:55 rear pinion and getting ready to pull the 6R80 and take to Richardson Performance for a stage one rebuild.
Need to order a 4 point roll bar and rear seat delete.

I’m continuing my forever-hunt for what I believe is a tiny vacuum leak.

Got the manifold out. Gaskets looked fine but I have new ones to go back on. I looked pretty closely for cracks in the manifold and just don’t see any. Vacuum tested the IMRC and it’s perfect. Kinda frustrating.

Other than cleaning, anything else I should do while the manifold is off?

I drove it to my girlfriend’s place in Virginia Beach, failed to check the weather report in a timely manner,
and drove my Mustang home in the snow 😅

The pictures don't do the slushy street any justice.

The car in the foreground, with snow all over the hood and windshield, is the Evo I should have been driving. The car in the background with the mostly clear windshield is my Mustang PP1, on summer tires.

It probably goes without saying, but I’m glad "mustang" was not a verb tonight. 😄

I have a 2011 V6 automatic Mustang, and it has been my winter beater this year. It is a clean car, but I couldn't find anything else, so I decided to make this the winter driver. I bought winter tires to put on the old stock rims. It handles just fine in the snow. The GT is stored in my shop, and I keep it at 65 degrees.

What did I do today, let me see, I attempted to dig both my Mustangs out. Yes there are 3 cars in that snow drift somewhere. I figure they'll see daylight by Thursday. RI broke the record for the most snowfall ever. 32" - 36".

Today I replaced the leaking drive shaft seals on my diff. While I was at it I replaced the thrust washers also. My son is a mechanic and so I was very blessed to be able to use his workshop and put it up on a hoist. I don't know if I could of got the driveshafts out on stands . They needed a very hard jolt and 2 pairs of hands. My son has more muscle than me these days. Everything else was straight forward. Just nuts n bolts. Changed the diff oil at the same time.
It took me about 2 hours per side . I got a wheel alignment done and they said it only needed a slit adjustment on one side.

Ordered OPG and sprocket, trying to get estimates from local performance shops on replacement before I decide if I just do it myself or not 😂

It does seem like a lot of work and possibly detrimental to the engine if you dont know what your doing. The retiming of the engine seems really confusing to me personally. I dont know if I would trust myself. Lol.

Hmmm, what did I do to my s550 today? Well, I dont know if this qualifies, but I sat in the car in the garage with the trickle charger connected and listened to the aftermarket stereo system that I installed last winter. I just can't get enough of it and can't believe how good it sounds now. I find myself doing this often and get a kick out of it everytime. It also serves as stress relief too.
