Well I learned from the mechanic when I went to give him a case of beer, that they had the engine for the last week or so. They decided to just wait on it because it is warranty... if that makes any sense..
SO in the end, Rep lied saying it came just in the morning, dealership lied
what that means is that hand in hand bunch of lies to save their ass from a lemon law suit.
I guess the squeaky wheel gets the grease.
I encourage kicking and screaming if you are under a warranty issue so you get treated right.
Now I made them give me a loaner from enterprise and sent in my papers for a lemon law, they are hurrying the mechanic to get it done fast - which creates more room for error.
It just seems fail after fail, although they are taking care of me, if I wasnt someone with a spare car, say a guy with a family with a busy schedule.. I cant imagine the frustration.
:tsk:
makes sense. I wouldn't get too hung up on that though because from what I read, your warranty claim was disputed. Next time, don't do CAI. Too much risk, not enough gains. If you want gains, go big (GT) or go home. Not saying buy a GT. Just stick with the stock paper filter, and enjoy your car.
