No negative comments, but since it's been out a year now, the breaking necks have subsided a bit.

"Ah another mullet mobile"

"Oh nice rustang"

"Oh that'll break down soon, hope you got warranty"

"Why didn't you just get a quality car like a Mercedes C class or a BMW 3 series"- this comment came from my father in law. The most difficult part was keeping my mouth shut.
You should have told him " eh, I pick up a better class of hooker in my mustang which is way better than those cars"

Guhh. Poorly thought-out interior (hard door edges at my knee, plastic that is sharp and painful and uneven so it slices), steering wheel controls counterintuitive (I wish they were reversed left-to-right), chintzy chrome inside, cheap materials. It's been back to the dealer a few times already for this, and once to replace one of the interior door handles where the cheap chrome plastic had already bubbled and peeled.

Bad panel gaps and panel misalignment.

SYNC's inability to remember how to Bluetooth for more than 6 weeks.

Buzzes and rattles from most interior panels (my car was built 7/15 and now has 3,004 miles on it).

Shifter that feels "crunchy" going into third gear.

I mean, it's sexy and fun to drive but MAN Ford's build quality is at least ten years behind the Japanese auto makers.

Yeah...I am sure that'd go over real well with the father-in-law. :p

Had a guy in a Challenger SRT-8 tell me I should've got a real muscle car with a hemi in it. Light turned green, he got the jump and I shut down 2-3 car lengths ahead of him. He didn't even pull all the way up to the next light.

I would have owned a dozen BMW's by now it they didn't have at minimum a $10K badge tax on their 3 series alone. There really are several cars over the years that are much better cars that may fall short only 5% in performance (only performance as a measure of a car) that you can buy for $10K less. I just absolutely refuse to pay ridiculously high prices for a car thats just not worth it. This is why I ended up in well build cars like Honda/Acura and Toyota/Lexus. This is also the reason I drive a Ford Mustang now. Not only is it well built but its probably the best bang for the buck you can buy for performance right now.

My opinion is that BMW's are actually pretty cheap (interiors and such) and my Mustang is on par with any of my old Honda and Toyotas and therefor as well built as a BMW now. So go out and buy a base Mustang GT at $30K and then go see what you can get at BMW for $30K.
Precisely why I sold my '12 G37 sedan and ended up in an S550 GT instead of the Alpine White '09 E92 M3 I was originally looking at.

Those are my favorite. It's one thing when I get the WTF look when I say it has a 4 cyl but the ones talking shit about how awesome another car is and they're driving a POS are my favorite.

I never quite understand when people do that. It's like they are driving a POS and instead of being happy for someone else, they feel the need to try to bring them down by talking shit about their car. It's just stupid..

Best one i had was when driving it through a county fairgrounds surrounded by people, "hey, did that thing come with a boyfried?". Dozens of thumbs up and nice car comments also that day, but damn the boyfriend comment is what i remember as it was damn funny.

And of course the, "its a 4cyl?", especially when coming from car people who havent stayed in touch recently. Just watching those little minds blow is pretty amusing.

To avoid any of the Ecoboost bashing, when asked what kind of motor it has, I simply reply "It's the turbo charged version." That tends to get them a little wide eyed if they aren't up on the new Mustangs and their technology.

The only problem with the above statement is, if they are Mustang or Performance car people, they ALREADY know it"s a 4 Banger Mustang,if you are proud of your car why hide it,tell them it"s a Eco Boost 4 Banger, all they have to do anyways is look and see there is no GT badge on the rear, and no 5.0 badge on the side,so it"s not a V8 Coyote, who the F cares anyways.Be happy with your purchace and the money you saved by not getting the V8 GT,a high performance car isn"t for everybody, that why they also make Hondas,Kias, and Toyota ,so that everbody can drive what they want & can afford
